Happy new year to the very best bar!
Here's wishing you a wonderful 2013!

It's been an unbelievable 2012, and on behalf of your friendly neighborhood mods, we just want to send a shoutout to every single one of you-- the writers, lurkers, enablers, artists, instigators, cheerleaders, betas, fangirls and boys and men and women-- you are what makes this bar the very best. We are proud to be your mods and we hope to make this place even better in the year to come.

Stay safe, be happy, and enjoy all the wonderful secret santa and hometown challenge fics that keep rolling in. Thank you for bringing the squee and the thoughts and the laughter and the joy every single day. So much love, y'all. So much.

Now drinks all around, I say!

I definitely second everybody's wishes for a happy new year and that this is the best bar. I've always floated from fandom to fandom but this one has really stuck with me. So much fun so thanks y'all for being awesome.

YOU are awesome :D And this definitely is the best bar, we also need to grab a table sometime and talk about Ireland ;) Happy New Year!

We definitely do. Is it weird that I have feels for a country? Lol, I swear my family thinks I'm crazy for how excited I get about Ireland and my thesis topic. Or maybe I'm just crazy.

Totally not weird! I can soooo relate to that, I have feels for London :) And Canada, without ever having spent any significant amount of time there... But whenever there's a documentary about Canada on tv, I will watch it :D And there's feels for a bunch of other places, I once began to learn Japanese because I was fascinated by Japan...

And my family thinks me crazy for getting excited about a certain actor, so I'd say you're in good company :D But then they indulge me and watch all his movies anyway, best family ever ;)

Good to know I'm not crazy. London too, I need to go there someday. So much good stuff seems to be there and it seems like it would be such a cool place.

My family is the same way. My dad got me for secret santa for Christmas and apparently the day he found out he went online and instantly purchased me a Hawkeye figurine. I'm that transparent. My parents and I actually watched The Town last night and it was so funny because when Jem and Doug get in a fight my mom was yelling at the screen, "come on, you're an Avenger Hawkeye. You can take him." Yay for family being supportive to fangirling and sometimes joining in.

Definitely not crazy, unless I'm crazy too ;) London is awesome, if you ever make it to Europe, give me a shout and I'll come to London with you :D

That's awesome, your family sounds great! My parents watched The Hurt Locker a couple of months ago on my insistence that it was a gripping, must-see movie. My dad was like 'I worry about her some if that is her favorite movie...' ;) But they both agreed that it was a superb performance and that they would have to watch The Town soon :D And my mom spent the night at my place a few days later and we ended up watching Renner interviews on YouTube, she was almost more excited about it than I was ;)

Lol, I love it. My mom wanted to know what I was getting her into with The Hurt Locker too. She ended up loving it though. That's the magic of Renner, you get to fangirl over him while sharing him with the older generation who also appreciates him. I think we would have world peace by now if we just put Renner in charge because who can dislike the guy, lol.

Right???? I totally agree with you! My mom was all 'Can we see that documentary where he was in Afghanistan with UNMAS? Ohhh, SNL, can you send me the links?' And she has a hard time understanding English when it's not written down, but she still enjoyed it :) So, we were fanwomaning together! And more and more of my friends are hopping on the bandwagon too. But I still get to say that I was the first :D

And absolutely, put Renner in charge, instant world peace :D
