During inkvoices and workerbee73's All The Things Friday: Let's See How Far We've Come Edition last night (recs abounds! Go check it out!), I had a brief chat with inkvoices about all the short fics you can find on tumblr.

Now, of course, there are problems with fic on tumblr; there's no proper way of finding them, tumblr isn't really made for fic, people change their names so often that you can easily loose the stories and 90% of the time the formatting/font size/layout makes your eyes bleed (or at least, makes my eyes bleed). BUT there are good things on there nonetheless.

So, as I brought it up, I was charged (I say charged, inkvoices suggested and I agreed) with making a post about the fics you can find on tumblr. So here follows a short list of tumblr fics that I think are great. :)

Please comment with your favourite tumblr fics! There are gems out there, we just have to mine for them (aaah obscure Hobbit reference).

First off, I know that the tumblr fuckyeahclintnatasha run by eiluned (and someone else who hopefully will contact me so they can be added here) collates C/N fics on tumblr, though often they do link to LJ, AO3, ff.net or something like that, which is useful. But really, I'm talking about those that are only found on tumblr. Or at least, are to the best of my knowledge.

[C/N, PG-13, tw: violence, ~1000 words]
He pulls her into the barren apartment like she’s a stray cat, bedraggled and hissing, her dark red hair soaking and plastered across her bloodied face.
A wonderful "different call" fic. I love the turn of phrase and the picture that it paints of who Clint and Natasha are at this point in their lives.

I love this, because I love Natasha and Pepper stories; them being awesome together and terrifying the guys with competence and a no-bullshit-allowed approach. Also, this is really amusing. :D


(on a different note, does anyone know of a comm similar to spnstoryfinders or merlin_finders, but for Avengers stuff? A place where I can search stuff that isn't C/N (cos clearly I'd use you lot for that, you're awesome!). I'm not really sure how to go about finding one. I usually come across them by accident. :P)
