Interesting question. Most fics I've read have him carrying the torch for her for years, so I'm as keen to have some recs on this as you are! I think there was a prompt on this in the Great Valentine's Day Promptathon but I can't recall whether someone responded.

It's kinda subtle and implied, but yeah, there certainly is a vibe there ;) But I would love to see if there are more obvious ones. (I'm with anuna here though, I see them falling for each other at kinda the same time. In my headcanon Clint says "I love you first", but Natasha initiates the first kiss ;))

And OT, omg so much anxiety about the "recast Renner"/ no Hawkeye rumors. I am flipping out. They posted on ONTD, and everyone was like "Who cares". Someone please relieve my anxiety!

About the recast rumours... Someone speculated on a comics blog. That's it. There's no official word on anything, if that helps. It's purely an individual speculating without any evidence to back up said speculation. Unless there's an official word by Marvel or Renner we can safely assume he's there to stay. Does that help?

Yes, that helps immensely...even though I want to punch the person who speculated for raising my blood pressure. Thank you for bringing it down. I think what disturbed me the most was not the speculation, but the response to the speculation, if that makes sense. Putting it out of my mind now.

(I'm still kinda hoping for a non-credited cameo from him like in Thor. That would be amazing.)

And back to the fanfiction request...this really needs to exist. You know, it just occured to me, the first few times watching the Avengers (knowing nothing about the comics), I never sensed that Clint was in love with Natasha. I knew for sure she was in love with him (so insanely obvious, she might as well have been wearing a Team Clintasha t-shirt), but when they were sitting side-by-side, he seemed way older than her (I thought by 20 years), so I was thinking a mentor/protege dynamic, where she fell in love with him and he was just fond of her. After I watched it a few times, that's when I sensed it was an absolute 2-way street...and when I started reading the fanfic and wearing my own Team Clintasha t-shirt.

I just read one where she liked him first, but it's definitely the exception. I don't have th link, but the title is Oxycodone Days on both ff.net and AO3. That one doesn't go into much detail about how they got together, though, And the sequel only touches on it in passing. I have actually thought about PMing the author to ask if she would do a story about their get-together. :-) the story is brilliant, though, and is an AMAZING look at the psychology of it favorite assssins. I giggly recommend it!

Edit: The author doesn't give warnigs, but there's graphic violence, blood and gore, along with some mentioning of PTSD and psychological fall out. Both are rather dark and the second story is heavily influenced by "The Hurt Locker". So if that's not your cup of tea, don't go near either of them.
