Promptathon 2013
Hello, lovely patrons of the bar! It is now the month of July. Do you know what that means? It’s time for:

The Good Ship C/N Promptathon
of Magic and Joy: Round 2

Are you excited? I know I am!

RULES ON POSTING SUBMISSIONS
(please read before you post! <3)

The Rules. Just follow these three easy steps!

1. Leave a Prompt.
Prompts can be anything--simple or elaborate, words or pictures, songs or poems, lyrics or phrases. Anything that, to you, inspires a C/N fanwork. Use your imagination. Go crazy. All we ask is that you place anything NSFW under a cut or link, use trigger warnings when appropriate, and place anything spoiler-y under a cut with a warning. If you’re posting large images, please be mindful of members with slower Internet connections and place the image under a cut or link. Also, try to be as specific as you can with your prompts--this is often very helpful to those creating the fanwork.

And leave as many prompts as you want. I’m serious. Keep coming back, y’all. We want all the prompts we can possibly get Also, be sure to leave each prompt as a separate comment.

2. Wait a week.
Keep leaving prompts and plan your fanworks! This is a time for celebration and creating all of the things.

3. Submit C/N fanwork like there is no tomorrow.
All submissions should either be posted here or linked to this post via a comment. We will make an official post about rules in the time leading up to submissions. Please read it before posting, as responsible partying is to be encouraged at all times.

Timeline

Prompting starts today, July 7th (or 8th if you’re in my part of the world ;) ), and will remain open until July 17th. Submissions will start on July 17th, and will remain open until August 1.

What we hope to accomplish with all this promptathon-iness:

  • A chance to get in the game. Been wanting to jump into the C/N fanwork scene but not sure where to start? Now’s the time. There’s no length requirement on the works submitted, you can focus on drabbles and vidlets and short and sweet projects (or do longer more epic stuff if that strikes your fancy as well).  It’s really entirely up to you. We’re just hoping to provide a fun, no-pressure environment.

  • Meet new and awesome people. Newbie or lurker? Here is the perfect opportunity to say hello!

  • Ship like you’ve never shipped before.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the mod team.

Have fun, everyone!

This is very true. I guess the way I see it is he wouldn't be jealous exactly but he might feel like Natasha was with him because he didn't kill her and brought her in and her life changed (although that was mostly her doing of course)... So maybe he would see her with someone else and think its time to let go, let her choose to be with whoever she wants to be with. Especially if there is an age difference that appears to be there in the movie.

Or maybe not. This is why I don't leave prompts, not exactly miss creativity over here. :P

re age difference, i think it depends what MCU chooses to do with Natasha. If she is sreum'd like Steve and Bucky are, then age difference isn't an issue... actually she is then older than Clint. But then any love interest for Steve would fall under same type of problem. Steve is over 80 years old. I think it shouldn't be taken literally - Steve slept for 70 years and Bucky was (in comics at least) frozen and locked in stasis pod on ice when they didn't need him. Age is a relative term there.

Bucky, poor boy, needs to get well first. If he regains his memories he's going to be one big mess. relationship isn't exactly a thing he needs; but he does need friends who care and people willing to help. I haven't read Winter Soldier comics but I'm familiar with basic plot and the ideas thorough it. I am familiar with MCU!Bucky, who is truly and utterly heartbreaking (I took an in depth look into him here (http://anuna-81.livejournal.com/649953.html)), and just when you think how he was robbed of his life and choices? I really can't understand people who don't want all the good things for him. With Clint and Natasha and Bucky I'm interested how two of them can help him regain some balance in his life, and I think - if he has past with Natasha, then Natasha isn't the best choice for that (did she know he was alive? or thought he was dead? either way one can expect guilt and "I left him behind" feelings on her part). Neither is Steve. Steve and Bucky are going to have ton of issues between them. Or would have, in a real world. But Clint is a good choice because he's solid and he's been through things very similar to Bucky's experience (Loki). So when thinking about them and working out their stories, I tend to focus on friendship aspects first.

Yup yup yup. That is actually very much how I have imagined things going... And not going to mention a certain thing from the movie bc it is spoiler-y, but I have imagined Bucky seeing a certain thing, and then seeing another version of a certain thing, and making some sort of connection.. But yes. Clint and Bucky. I have totally thought Clint could help him maybe the best, in conjunction with Steve and Natasha.

The age thing is very interesting... I wouldn't be surprised if they go the comic book route. In the deleted scenes for the Avengers, Bruce makes a comment about how young Natasha is. I wonder if that was in there originally for a reason moreso than the obvious joke? I guess we shall see. I personally consider Steve young, even though he is old... Age-wise, old, experience-wise (as far as not being a capsicle), young. But Bucky and Natasha, who knows?

I'm really not sure what you're getting at, spoiler-wise? I'm game to be spoiled, though. Did you mean the photos with Steve and Natasha obviously trying to fool whoever was following them? Because that is so obviously a ploy.

I can't wait to see how they do Bucky and Natasha. I think everything is game - from past romantic relationship, past mentor - student relationship to no connection at all, but considering they've both been under mind control and owned by Soviets/Russia, there's a connection and room for natasha to understand what Bucky was put through.

Honestly, Bocky is the most important reason why I'm so excited about CA2. I utterly love that boy.

No, not the kissing (agreed, it is obvious ploy)... I don't think this will happen in the movie, but when I first saw Natashas necklace (which may or may not be an arrow... Not sure how clear the pics are, but that seems the be the consensus of some), I had this vague thought that Bucky sees it a few times (this is sooooo vague and fuzzy in my head) but basically at some point he sees Clint, with his bow and arrow. And makes some sort of connection, like "this is a good guy" or maybe "this is the guy who saw something good in Natasha, does he see something good in me too?". Just vague, blurry thoughts in my head, kinda hard to explain.

I love Bucky too! But honestly I am just as excited to see Natasha and Steve too. I just love the whole lot of them! ;)

It is, in fact, an arrow. This is a very clear picture (http://media.tumblr.com/fb01db42ed8288c526ea933cb20e7403/tumblr_inline_mlvh36ZnQ51qz4rgp.png). I think it leaves very little room for doubt.

It would be cool if they didn't mention or try to explain it at all. It speaks for itself.

They should leave it alone and let fandom take care of explaining it away! Like Budapest!!!! *grins*
[identity profile] anuna-81.livejournal.com on July 13th, 2013 08:55 pm (UTC)
EXACTLY! I would love if the necklace is there all the time AND WE GET TO LOOK AT IT ALL THE TIME and nobody says anything because it's a NORMAL THING EVERYONE IS USED TO. :D :D

capslock because EXCITED LIKE WHOA ABOUT THIS MOVIE.
