Clint origin, PG-13(?), written for the prompt: Coulson is a young agent new to Shield from somewhere else. He's still learning, not yet unflappable. Clint is a "teenage deliquent/circus runaway/on his last chance with the law" when Fury spots him. Fury makes Coulson recruit/train/mentor an angry teenage Clint. The reason Coulson is so calm and even tempered today is because he went through every sort of emotional nightmare turning Clint into a decent adult ten years ago.

Yay, it's time for that friday feeling :D ...finding recs for this was actually harder than I thought it would be, because looking for stories that are purely origin or backstory, not how they first met or how they joined SHIELD turned out to be tricky. SO here are a few that have lots of backstory or origins in them, but probably have other things too. All brilliant writing and I love them!

Both PG I think. The more I look at them, the more I want to die, but that's less a warning and more because, taken together, the artist has done a fantastic job of ripping out my heart and stomping all over it.

I'd seen the second one, which is hilarious and cute, but not the first, wow, that is AMAZING! I love it :D Seconding the heartache though, heh.
