Okay, you said you wanted it, so it’s happening: SECRET SANTA 2013!
TIMELINE
REQUESTS: from now until 9am GMT Monday 14th October
ASSIGNMENTS SENT OUT: 14th – 17th October
(Cheerleader Tea Party approx. 3rd November)
(Check in 30th + 31st November)
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 16th December
GIFT POSTING STARTS: 24th December

THINGS TO KNOW
An exchange is where you sign up with ideas for what kind of gift you like and what kind of gift you'd like to give, then everyone gets a gift and makes a gift, and it's all anonymous until reveals at the end. For this exchange gifts can be: fic (minimum 1,000 words), art (one wallpaper, a painting, a picset, a graphic), fanmix (minimum cover and 5 tracks), icons (minimum 10), or a gift basket (a mix of any of the others with a split that makes it equivalent: ie 500 words and 5 icons).
THE RULES OF THE COMM APPLY and your gifts need to include Clint and Natasha - as friends, partners, lovers, colleagues, spouses, enemies… We love other characters and they can be involved as well, but the focus, as always with our comm, is on these two.
This post is for REQUESTS ONLY. I apologise that you only have a week to do requests, but I want to make sure people have writing/creating time! There will be a separate post shortly to sign up to pinch hit, beta read, be on the graphics team, and cheerlead, and to talk about community gifts. You can do any to all of these things! So if you just want to take part in the exchange, wonderful. But if you also just want to be on the graphics team, or just cheerlead, that’s wonderful too! And if you want to do more than one thing, guess what? That would be wonderful. If you want to do everything? You’re crazy-wonderful ;D
TO TAKE PART IN THE EXCHANGE AS A GIFT GIVER AND RECEIVER
To take part please copy and paste the sign up form from the text behind the cut into a comment and fill it in. There’s also an example with instructions behind the cut as well.
This post has a thread for questions and a thread for chatting at the top. Please don’t reply to any request comments, because then you can keep on editing your requests right up until the deadline.
I aim to match everyone up as best as possible, but I make no guarantees of perfection! A helpful hint is that if, as time goes by and before the request deadline, you see that someone has posted a request for something you would really like to write/create like, say, zombies wearing santa hats, you might want to edit your gift offer to say something like, ‘I like writing about zombies’. Seven people might do this, but hey, one of you is likely to get to write about zombies.

TO RECIEVE
Gift Type: please list what type of gift that you would like to receive, in order of preference with your first choice first if you would be happy with more than one, or ‘ANY’ if you really don’t mind. Choices are: fic, art, fanmix, icons, and gift basket
Prompts: list some ideas of things that you would like, no less than 3 so that your creator has some choice (and no more than 6 please). This can be anything! See the past Secret Santa and promptathons if you get stuck.
Yes please: a brief list of things that you like that aren’t as specific as a prompt, like genres, kissing, other characters, banter etc. Your gift giver isn’t obliged to use them, but it can help give them some ideas.
No thank you: Anything that your really do not want, such as character death, background pairings that you actively dislike, music that you can’t stand (f you’re asking for a fanmix), anything that might be triggering for you etc
TO GIVE
Gift Type: please list what type of gift that you would like to create, in order of preference with your first choice first if you would be happy with more than one, or ‘ANY’ if you really don’t mind. Choices are: fic, art, fanmix, icons, and gift basket
I’d like to: genres, background characters, ideas etc that you’d like to create, that you’d feel comfortable creating, that you would be really happy to have assigned to you!
I’d rather not: Things that you don’t really like to create or feel uncomfortable with, like a background character you don’t feel confident in writing or a genre that isn’t your strength
Absolutely Not: Things that are an absolute no for you, such as anything triggering, character death, things that you will not do. (You may get a request that has something it in from your ‘rather not’ section that you can ignore, because the request has other prompts in it or because it’s not a deal breaker for the requester, but these are things that I will make sure you do not get in your assignment if I can absolutely help it. Don’t use this for general dislikes that go on forever or lines in the sand; it’s the no-way, no-how, not-evers.)
