To sign up to take part in the actual exchange go here.
This post is for if you would be interested in being for the Secret Santa exchange a pinch-hitter, beta reader, on the graphics team, a cheerleader, or want to know about community gifts! Or all of the above!
PINCH HITTERS: if it looks like someone won’t be able to finish their gift for someone, a pinch hitter steps in, often at the last minute, to make sure everyone who takes part in an exchange gets a gift as described HERE. The deadline for the exchange is December 16th, although I hope to know before then if pinch hitters are needed. If in doubt, I’d like to assign one. If you’d like to help with this there is no deadline to sign up but if people drop out early it’d be nice to have some pinch hitters already here to go to. Things we need to know:
Livejournal Name:
Email: if you’re uncomfortable listing this in a public post please either PM me with it or email be_compromised at hotmail dot com (with your livejournal name as well so I know who you are!)
Gift Type: please list what type of gift that you would like to create, in order of preference with your first choice first if you would be happy with more than one, or ‘ANY’ if you really don’t mind. Choices are: fic, art, fanmix, icons, and gift basket
Absolutely Not: Things that are an absolute no for you, such as anything triggering, things that you will not do.
If possible I’d like to: The kind of thing that you’d like to create, such as genres that are your strong point.

BETA READERS: are first readers for fics or first viewers for other creative works, handy from helping to spot mistakes to technical support to creative support. There is no deadline to sign up but the plan is to have a beta post mid-November to help gift makers get in touch with betas and get some support.
Want to take part? Just comment saying: SIGN ME UP TO BE A BETA PLEASE.
GRAPHICS TEAM: are going to be making things like promotional graphics before the exchange, participation graphics at the end, and making for every gift a banner, similar to last year. The banners will be anon until the end of the exchange. To give you an idea of what to expect, we hope to have most of the info from each participant that we need to make a banner by December 16th and would like to have the majority of banners done by December 24th except for stragglers and all being well *crosses fingers*, and participation graphics by the end of the exchange. Our Graphics Team Organiser is the lovely
frea_o, so if you sign up she’ll be in touch with you with lots more details, and you can do as little or as much as you’re happy with. What we’ll need to know:

CHEERLEADERS: are important people that keep us all motivated! We’d like to have a Cheerleaders Tea Party in early November as a forum for you to encourage our creators, offer them tea/coffee and cookies, chat, wave pompoms, maybe even if you meet a creator who’d like to keep you it could lead to swopping contact details and offering some creative support. Although people still need to keep who they’re gift is for anon! There’s no deadline for bringing your enthusiasm and love to the party, and no need to sign up, but if you’d like to take part in a Cheerleaders Tea Party let us know!
COMMUNITY GIFTS: are special extras. Maybe you missed out on making a request, or don’t feel you can commit to an exchange, and still want to join in. Maybe you’re too excited to wait for the actual exchange. Then why not make/write a little something, with no minimum requirements or specifications? Just post it between now and December 24th and in the title/header of your post put ‘GIFT FOR COMMUNITY’ and tag it as ‘secret santa 2013’. No need to sign up :)
Feel free to chat, ask questions, and party in the comments. EXCITEMENT.
