ATTF: what's your profile? (aka serious, fun and silly personality tests)
Hello dearest bar! It's that time of the week! Are you ready to have some fun here? Today we should discuss (and if you choose, do) some personality tests. You know, those quizzy type of things that usually tell you what kind of bookshelf you are (messy, fancy, pretty... okay, I'm kidding), or give you some kind of profile, telling you about your most important personality traits? So here's what we can do:

1. I have a couple of fun links to quizzes and tests you can fill out, report here and tell everyone what kind of results you got, if you're surprised or not surprised at all

2. discuss and imagine how this would go with Clint and Natasha - every organization like SHIELD has psych evals. What do you think how that works at SHIELD? What kind of profile would Clint get? Is Natasha able to cheat on her psych evals? Is there some kind of running joke, for example, a competition who can give most outlandish answers to intern psychologists and give them a scare (this totally should happen in fic). Do agents try to find out about their results? Do you imagine Clint, Nat, Avengers, or other characters from MCU/Marvel taking one of those Hogwarts house tetsts and then freaking over the results?

3. have fun and get to know each other better, discuss everything and anything

Anyway, the whole point of it all is to have fun, so here we go.

1. Myers-Briggs personality test - this is a serious one, and it takes a little bit of time to fill out, but usually gives pretty good insight into personality traits.

2. the four temperaments test - somewhat simpler, it gives you a basic idea of your personality type.

3. Hogwarts house sorting test - what it says on the lid, it sorts you into one of 4 Hogwarts houses from harry Potter universe. It's a fun thing to do if you're a fan. (Also, can someone fill this one out as Clint or Natasha? That would be fun).

4. The Golden Compass Daemon test - again, based on a book - Phillip Pullman's trilogy His Dark Materials - discover what kind of animal your daemon would be :)

Things to remember:
1) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.
2) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings).
3) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut.
4) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)

Still need to take the tests but just wanted to say this is an AWESOME TOPIC.

Ahhhh THANK YOU KINDLY! It's what I do - test people ;)

I just finished daemon test and boy, I'm not surprised with the result :D

So I'm gonna share my results with you fine people.

On Myers - Briggs test I score as INFJ (introversion, intuition, feeling, judging) - which frankly, is me. I am an introvert who occasionally enjoys a party or loud going out, up to a certain point. My true love are books and music + headphones. I am supposed to be a caring, intuitive and sensitive person (I could sometimes do with less sensitive), but I suppose those traits make me a good or at least decent writer and observer of human nature. INFJs are supposedly artistic and internet tells me it's the rarest personality type (I feel special!). Temepraments test puts me into group of melancholics (ha, I am not surprised); Hogwarts test sorts me into Slytherin with Hufflepuff house coming in second, Rawenclaw third and Gryffindor last.

Daemon test tells me I am a "Honest Soul" and that my daemon would be something to represent my loving nature and encourage me. It would be a dog, otter, marmoset, saw whet owl, chinchilla or a songbird. I'd pick a dog. :)

What are your results, folks? I'm not really surprised with mine :)

"I am an introvert who occasionally enjoys a party or loud going out, up to a certain point. My true love are books and music + headphones."

This is me EXACTLY!!! I am always listening to music on my headphones from the time I got my first pair at around age 8. My mom always wondered why I listened on headphones instead of just playing music on speaker. That's too open with other people around, haha.

What do you think of your Slytherin category? Why do you think you were placed there?
[identity profile] candream.livejournal.com on November 22nd, 2013 06:57 pm (UTC)
1: INTJ [Not sure about it.]
2: melancholic [100% true .____.]
3: Hufflepuff [Yaaaaaaaaaay, my favorite house. :33]
4: Shy Secretive Soul [Yup, true. My suggestions were Spider, Opossum, Lady Bug, Snake. I'd take the Opossum or Lady Bug. No Spider or Snake. ^^]
[identity profile] anuna-81.livejournal.com on November 22nd, 2013 07:00 pm (UTC)
How come you're not sure about INTJ? :D

Ooooh opossum! And a Hufflepuff, eeeee :D

Hufflepuff is the best house :) Lady Bug would be an interesting daemon.
[identity profile] spyforaday.livejournal.com on November 23rd, 2013 01:43 am (UTC)
Wow. We got the same results on all tests with one minor exception: I'm a Shy Loving soul (rabbit). Everything else is the same. Didn't think anybody would be that close.
[identity profile] hufflepuffsneak.livejournal.com on November 22nd, 2013 07:58 pm (UTC)
I got Choleric for the four temperaments test. Which, yeah, true in both the energy/ passion sense but also the grumpy sense. :P

I haven't seen the daemon test before, so thanks for posting :). I got Independent Soul with "suggested forms: Peregrine Falcon, Snowy Owl, Snow Leopard, Siberian Tiger, Osprey."

All of those options seem awesome, I can't choose between them.
[identity profile] anuna-81.livejournal.com on November 22nd, 2013 08:06 pm (UTC)
Oooh those sound like awesome daemons. :)

Awww the grumpy Hufflepuff. :D

I will come take the tests later but I have to think that any sort of Psych workups for Widow and Hawkeye are suspect. They just don't exactly fit 'standard' modes of testing.

And I do wonder if, especially when she was first brought in (going with movie verse) to SHIELD, some of Natasha's answers were deemed so outlandish as to be considered false.
[identity profile] anuna-81.livejournal.com on November 22nd, 2013 08:16 pm (UTC)
Yesss. All good possibilities. I think Clint, with years of his experience in the service, knows the advantages of not looking too weird on psych evals. I also think that whoever evaluated them should be able to go beyond standard tests and create opportunities to observe how they act.

Natasha might have even try to appear very average and not stand out? A spy shouldn't stand out. I just know it would be a tricky thing, if not a nightmare, to evaluate two of them. (I even poked at that in a fic which I should continue and finish).

I did the Meyers-Briggs test a few weeks back on hufflepuffsneak's journal and I got ENFP, which yeah, is me :)

My temperament is apparently sanguine, which also fits very well, the good and the bad. Although I'm usually punctual, hehehe. I'm supposed to be sociable and charismatic, usually quite creative and often daydream. However, some alone time is crucial for those of this temperament. Sanguine can also mean sensitive, compassionate and thoughtful. Sanguine personalities generally struggle with following tasks all the way through, are chronically late, and tend to be forgetful and sometimes a little sarcastic.

The hat sorted me into Hufflepuff, with Ravenclaw a very close second. I am highly pleased with this outcome :)

The daemon test has me as a "fun loving soul", with my daemon's form representing my social and emotionally honest nature, as well as my balanced sense of self. He or she would constantly be throwing him or herself into the moment. Suggested forms include Meerkat, Labrador Retriever, Sea Lion and Lemur. Now - Meerkat or Labrador???

Thanks, Nuna, this was really fun :D

Didn't we determine that I was the introverted version of you? I can't remember, but I vaguely recall talking about this. I vote Meerkat because Timon. It can hang out with my fox daemon and they can make sarcastic remarks at each other. It'll be fun!

ISTP (I have taken this test several times and I always get this result).

Phlegmatic? LOL I like most of what it says (relaxed, quiet, accepting, calm, etc), except the end where it says can be passive-aggressive. I REALLY try not to be passive-aggressive b/c I think that is a very unnatractive trait.

Hufflepuff 74, Ravenclaw 67, Gryffindor 62, Slytherin 51. But Snape is still my favorite character ;)

Open Solitary Soul...Panda, Arctic Fox, Domestic Cat, Wood Thrush, Spitz dog.

So Clint and Nat...introverts or ambiverts or extroverts?
[identity profile] anuna-81.livejournal.com on November 22nd, 2013 09:18 pm (UTC)
Clint strikes me as an introvert who can handle huge masses of people if duty calls for it. Nat, an ambivert. I think!

Great topic. All tests are pretty accurate from my perspective. In fact, I hesitated to even post being the "shy loving soul" my daemon test results (rabbit) say I am. I'm thinking that nobody really cares what I am, yet the Hufflepuff in me wanted to share. I'd like to think I could be an agent of SHIELD as an INTJ (introversion, intuition, thinking, judgement). According to the narrative, a person with these attributes would seem to make a successful agent. Except there's that shy loving soul thing...

As far as our favorite SHIELD assassins, my thought is they eat these tests -- and those who analyze them -- for lunch. I bet it's an inside joke between them to see who can mess up the results more. They exist so far outside the lines that anything standardized is a waste. Just my intuitive introverted thoughts.
[identity profile] anuna-81.livejournal.com on November 22nd, 2013 10:15 pm (UTC)
I wouldn't want to test two of them! Except maybe with Rorschach and see what Clint would come up with.

Aaand we dooooo care and like to hear what results you've got! Are you happy with them?

Of course we care what you are! I love finding out what everyone is...and it seems like a lot of us are Hufflepuffs! Hmm...I would if Coulson is an INTJ possibly?

I feel like Natasha would read a quesstion about a preference for socializing or being alone and just wonder what the point is. I want to assume at least some people working for SHIELD are savvy enough to understand Clint and Nat (I think Fury and Coulson seem pretty savvy), but then again, it is a government agency. ;)

Well, I took the Myers-Briggs a while ago, and came out as ENTP. This is what I said then: The bit of the description that got me was this: "ENTPs devise fresh, unexpected solutions to difficult problems. However, they are less interested in generating and following through with detailed plans than in generating ideas and possibilities. " Yup. That's why I have competent professionals on my staff -- to protect me from the detail devils. It works really well, actually ... ;-) And then this: "The ENTP regards a comment like "it can't be done" as a personal challenge" and They may have a perverse sense of humor and sometimes play devil's advocate, which can create misunderstandings with friends, coworkers, and family. Ummm ... yes, on both counts. Scary.

In other news, apparently I am a choleric Gryffindor, and as an "honest soul" I have a choice of Dog, Otter, Marmoset, Saw-Whet Owl, Songbird, Chinchilla for my daemon. I pick OTTER!!

Back to hubby, wine and cheese in front of the fireplace. Alpha out. :-)

PS: That was fun!

Myers-Briggs: I waver between ENFP or INFP, depending on the day (I'm one of the only people I know who regularly scores inconsistently between introvert and extravert). It suits me to a t, though.

Temperament: Melancholic. IDK. Maybe?

Hogwarts: Gryffinclaw! I always score between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, so I made up my own. :P

Daemon: "Open, sensitive soul", so: Songbird, Dove, Swan, Domestic cat, Border Collie. I want a border collie!!

1. INTJ - this one is pretty accurate.

2. Choleric - mixed feelings about this one. But interesting nonetheless!

3. Hufflepuff with strong Gryffindor inclinations! Ravenclaw wasn't that far behind. VERY low for Slytherin. XD

4. Multi-faceted. I do think this one is pretty accurate. Daemon possibilities: Swan, Elephant, Koala, Panda, Chameleon, Wolf. I choose a wolf! =D

Myers-Briggs: ESFP (extravert, sensing, feeling, perception). I can see most of the personality description in myself. Although I think I have a pretty good handle on the long term effects and consequences of my actions, and I do like to plan ahead! This part really got me though: ESFPs are excellent team players, focused on completing the task at hand with maximum fun and minimum discord. -- any group project I had in high school or college had me saying "Why can't we all just get along?" at some point. :)

Temperaments -- sanguine. This fits pretty well too. Often, when they pursue a new hobby, they lose interest as soon as it ceases to be engaging or fun. -- I sometimes wish the "lose interest" part would come before the "I've sunk a bunch of money in all the neat little gadgets that come with this hobby" part.

Hogwarts House -- Hufflepuff 94, Ravenclaw 66, Griffindor 61, Slytherin 22.

Daemon -- "Honest Soul" -- You don't mind a friendly debate, but become upset when things get hostile. You wish that people wouldn't take everything so personally, but simply think calmly about things. -- see my "why can't we all just get along?" comment above! -- Dog, Otter, Marmoset, Saw-Whet Owl, Songbird, Chinchilla. -- gotta go with an otter!

I hope everybody is having a fantastic Friday!
