Hello, bar!

It's Friday again, and we have a new movie! Accordingly, this week's ATTF is a free-for-all chat and gif party. However, since many people won't get to see Winter Soldier until this weekend, please keep your discussion spoiler free. Next week we'll attempt an intelligent discussion once we've all seen it and had a chance to recover from the initial flails. :)

Things to remember:
1) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.
2) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings).
3) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut.
4) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)

I got SO MAD in one scene where there was a sign for like, Rte 6. NOT MY DC.

(And the thing where they were closing the airports will forever make me weep...)

Closing the airports? When was that?? I must have zoned out then! I def. zoned out during one of the fight scenes. Not b/c I was bored but because I was focusing on a previous scene.

I worked in DC for nearly 12 years. They did "take some liberties" with the skyline, although the street-level scenes seemed ok. Not sure if this is what you meant, but in all those years and the decade since, I never asked to be picked up at "IAD." Maybe they call it that now (?), but it was always Dulles. ;)

I live in Northern Virginia and it's still Dulles. "IAD" is the airport code for Dulles, but I've never heard anyone call it that outside of the travel industry (I used to work for a travel agency).

I used to live in Northern VA and commute to DC -- Franconia Springfield to Foggy Bottom on the Metro. Most flights I took were out of DCA. I only mention that because it's nice to throw those names around and have someone know what I'm talking about. Much like somebody else recently did, I left my old aliases in DC and moved on. While I was there, though, those were some damn good times... ;)
