ATTF Winter Soldier Discussion
Hello bar, and happy Friday!

It's finally time to discuss Captain America: But It's Really A Black Widow Movie Winter Soldier!

So, what did you think? Come flail, discuss your head canons and your hopes for future MCU installments.

Please note that on this post all spoilers are fair game, so read the comments at your own risk!

ETA: Go here to rec or list Winter Soldier related fics. :)

Things to remember:
1) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.
2) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings).
3) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut.
4) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)

My disjoined thoughts
1. On a shipper note, I'm glad they didn't give Bucky and Natasha a history or many scenes together.

2. Natasha was awesome. She's a BAMF. I loved her friendship with Steve (and, again on a shipper note, if Steve's her best friend then Clint can be her lover :) ). Still hate the wig, but in every other way she was perfection.

3. I didn't expect to love Steve as much as I did. He isn't my favorite character, but I really loved him in this movie.

4. I actually think this may be my favorite Marvel movie, which surprised me.

5. I had a lot of Bucky feels that I wasn't expecting. And now ship Steve/Bucky. Steve can have Bucky and Natasha can have Clint. It works.

6. I loved the plot and the HYDRA twist. Getting rid of SHIELD was a bold, smart move. And the plot was very timely and well thought out, at least in my opinion.

7. Nick Fury is also a BAMF.

8. Maria Hill is awesome as always. And should get more scenes. Now that Cobie isn't tied down with HIMYM, i hope she's given more to do.

9. Sam was awesome too.

8. Uh, so, yes, basically I loved it. All of it. Going to see it again in IMAX tomorrow morning. And I need icons now.

Re: My disjoined thoughts
I think I was sad they totally cut it out. I was hoping for just a little background. They also changed her birthdate. Really besides Clint, those were the only things that bothered me.

I loved Maria. So cool and calm when she shot that guy in the control room.

I really liked Sam.

Fury is really going to have to thank Stark for the improvements on his car.

Speaking of Tony is it wrong to want him to crash Tasha's senate hearing.

The Hydra thing was very creepy.

Re: My disjoined thoughts
Maria shooting the dudes in the control room was one of my favorite things in the movie.

Re: My disjoined thoughts
I actually liked that they changed her birthdate...I kinda feel like 3 "really old" Avengers is too many? haha.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVEEEEEEDDDDD Maria in this.

The scene with Fury in the car was insane. I felt like crying. Also when Natasha was saying "Don't to this to me". CRYING BUCKETS

Re: My disjoined thoughts
Can you remember the data of birth? I know it was 1980 something... (I needed to take a pen and paper into this film LOL)

Sassy car!!! You can have air conditioning, take it or leave it.

Re: My disjoined thoughts
1984. I'm not sure if they used it for the book reference or because it's Scarlett's birth year (it is, I'm just not sure if that's why they used it) or both.

Re: My disjoined thoughts
Yup, I remember I was so focused on what year they were going to say for her, and started flipping out when they said 1984, which I knew was her birth year.

Book reference? Is that when this character was created?

I also didn't notice on first viewing that Zola said her full name...Natalia Alianovna. I love that!
