Victorian AU-Natasha Romanova is wealthy, single, and the target of a madman. She knows how to defend herself but after a close encounter with the mysterious stalker is persuaded that she needs more protection. Clint Barton is a former agent of the crown who walked away when he failed to save the young lady he was assigned, now he runs a security firm with his friend and mentor Phil. Natasha hires Clint to pretend to be her fiancee and at first they grate against each other but over the course of tracking down her stalker realize that they have more in common than they first thought.

You know, like in Flashpoint. Clint's the sniper, Nat's psychological warfare profiling (sorry Frea, had to steal this from you ;)), the rest is up to you. Could be Avengers or SHIELD, both would work for this.

Clint loses his hearing, and ends up being the one comforting Natasha.

The Red Room really messed up Natasha's reproductive system. She goes from thinking she can't have children, to oops-guess-what-Clint-I'm-pregnant, to triplets, or hey -- really be mean and make it quadruplets :)

I love this idea. I just really want them to have a squishy adorns baby (or babies).

Natasha's crying, and I mean tortured sobbing, it's the most heartbreaking and gut-wrenching thing Clint's seen and there's nothing he can do but hold her.

Not a geisha AU so much as: just like there are people who confuse the idea of geisha with simple courtesans, people tend to have the wrong idea about who and what Natasha is. Her reality is so much more complex.

A battered and bruised Natasha walks into her apartment, the one in New York that they share. She grabs a throw pillow off the end of the couch and startles a napping Clint awake when she starts beating him about the head and shoulders with it.

Meanwhile, Clint is all like "Hunh? Wha-? What happened?"

One of the conditions of Natasha joining SHIELD is that she has to get a green card. Which is how she and Clint found themselves at the town hall, filling out a marriage license.

Clint and Nat go undercover as camp counselors. Clint teaches archery and doesn't really care what the kids do as long as they don't shoot each other. Nat does self defense and the kids love her more than she tought they would (and she likes them back more than she thought she would either). Might be that she has a very strict stance on bullying...
