Happy Friday, Everyone!
So we're here to talk about fanvids, a world I stumbled into quite by accident and never really looked back. We've got fanmade trailers that hint at so many wonderful story possibilities, music videos for characters or pairings, and videos and vidlets that are all about the story they're telling.
Personally, I love all of them. I love the way videos are starting to use more footage of Scarlett and Jeremy's other videos to create better, richer Clint/Natasha vids (I admit to squeeing every time I see Unusuals footage), and I love the music watching fanvids has turned me onto (seriously, anyone not thinking Clint/Natasha with Within Temptation needs to watch TatyanaOracle's vids right now), and I love the story ideas that go bouncing through my head when I watch these amazing concepts developed on-screen like this. I like to watch a fanvid then read the description and watch it again to maximize inspiration because I'm like that.
Do you make vids? What inspires you? Do you like to watch them? Any favorite vidders or tropes or storylines? Chat it up on the video fandom for our favorite assassins.
Some Recs (and there are so many other videos I love):
Hawkeye: Blindspot (Trailer) by TatyanaOracle: A trailer based on Jim McCann and Paco Diaz's comic, Blindspot. Seriously, I want to see this movie.
Natasha & Clint - Budapest by avengers- in-love: A great vid of the Budapest mission.
And for a straight-up music vid that isn't by TatyanaOracle (yes, I have favorites), let's go with Angel with a Shotgun - Clintasha by MsNatalieRushman: Angel with a Shotgun by Cab and some great vidding.
Things to remember:
1) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.
2) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings).
3) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut.
4) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)
