ATTF: Community Trick-or-Treating  
trick or treat

Happy (almost) Halloween, bar! It's been quite a week in fandom, hasn't it? This post will be the spot for your community Halloween party for the next week or so!

Last year a bunch of people did fandom trick-or-treating on their personal journals (here's mine, for an example) and it was so much fun that I decided to steal the meme.

So, here's how I'm going to adapt it for the community:

  • If you want to give out treats, reply to this post with the comment "My door is open" or something clear to that effect!

  • Your fellow bar patrons will then reply to your comment with "trick-or-treat"

  • You will provide some sort of treat (or trick, I suppose)! Treats can be anything you want--a picspam, a short comment fic, a compliment, or anything else that strikes your fancy!

  • There is no deadline for providing treats. You are also welcome to put a limit on how many things you're willing/able to fill.

  • Anyone can participate!

  • Out of consideration for your fellow bar patrons, please refrain from including Age of Ultron trailer spoilers. I know we're all excited, but this is going to be a busy post, and I'd hate to see the experience ruined for anyone.

Things to remember:
1) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.
2) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings).
3) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut.
4) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)

I did not intend for this to be unhappy but it...Kind of is. I hope you don't mind

When they fight, which sin't often, she tries not to talk. She tries to let him yell and be frustrated and do what he wants but she tries so, so hard to be quiet.

Because she knows when she speaks, her words slice through him. She knows she can wield syllables like weapons and cut to the quick.

She knows that every part of her can be used to hurt someone, even her words.

SO she lets Clint be annoyed and angry and peeved. She lets hi rant and rave at her if he needs to but she stays quiet.

Until she can't.

Until she's had enough and she's spitting words like bullets at him, hitting her mark every time. She's precise and damn good at what she does and in the moment, she has no regrets.

But after, when things have settled and she's watching him lick his wounds, she feels bad. Not even guilty, just...a little annoyed with herself.

She doesn't want to hurt him, doesn't want to spit words like venom on an open wound. It's just....if they get to the point of fighting, actually fighting and not bickering like children, she's going to go for the jugular, it's in her nature.

But she tries, she tries so hard to be good, to not attack and let him get out his anger instead and mos of ht time she's successful. It's just every now and then she falters.

Every now and then, someone has to bleed.

I love this! I really love the idea that Natasha tries so hard to be good that she doesn't always know how to express her needs or her negative emotions. Thanks so much! :)
