Ooh great topic! Natasha just seems SO POPULAR. I think she is just so cool and funny and caring and I'd want her to be my friend so I guess everyone else wants her to be theirs as well. She seems to make friends with either gender very easily. I like to think that in addition to the above mentioned, she is friends with Pepper as well.

I LOOOOOOVVVVEEE her relationship with Fury!!! I just want a fanfic of Barton bringing in a young Nat and Fury being all WTF and then being all taken and protective of her and she immediately becomes his favorite <3.

Clint...hmm...well we also know from the deleted scenes (I'm assuming they are still "canon" in a way?) that Fury is very fond of Clint as well. And he seemed pretty cozy next to Maria in the new trailer. My guess is he may share the same circle of friends? I know he is snarky but my headcanon is snarky yet lovable. ;)

I definitely want more Nick and Natasha fic, and now I wish I'd seen deleted scenes.

I see great potential for Clint/Tony friendship, too. Clint would come to him with the latest arrow design, and Tony (who, yes, got out of the weapons business, but is prepared to make exceptions for a friend, plus -- whoa, cool idea Barton!!) would spend the next 48 hours in his lab building it. (He's still working on the Quiver Of Holding, which never runs out of arrows.)

I can see the potential between Clint and Tony as well. Also many hours debating music/movies/hottest models (cars or otherwise) from the past decades.

I could totally see that. It would make a great baby ficlet too. :bats eyelashes:

I have so many feels about Natasha and Fury and Natasha and Maria, and my headcanon is that Melinda was Clint's handler for a long time and they still have a bit of a mentor/mentee relationship.

I want to know what would happen if Natasha met Peggy. :D

I like Melinda & Clint -- or even intermittent Melinda/Clint as a friends-with-benefits kind of thing. (It started with a great prompt from franztastisch about her being the one to recruit him into SHIELD, and grew from there.)

And then there's that idea of Melinda and Coulson and Natasha and Clint sometimes hanging out and swapping stories ...

"Remember that time in Barcelona, when Barton was supposed to be on a stake-out and he'd eaten too much tapas? That was before your time, Romanoff."

"And that guy from ETA showed up just as he..."
