Do I need to keep going? I mean...it's a trailer. It's meant to be provocative without revealing too much about what's actually going on in the movie. Do I think we'll get 100% of what we want? No, probably not, but then I never expected we would. But that's far from being hopeless.

I'm not trying to argue with you -- you asked for evidence, so I tried to provide some. And while yes, two of those things were in the context of Winter Soldier, they were said during AoU filming. It's not a separate canon. Joss even worked on the Winter Soldier script to keep continuity.

Thanks for your level headed approach to this hoopla. It's been a nice change from all the freaking out I've witnessed so far, and made me feel very lonely in not freaking out and not giving up hope.


And you know what? Even if there is a Natasha/Bruce thing going on in AoU, that doesn't eradicate the MCU history Clint and Natasha have!

Right, nor does it mean that we can't still ship Clint/Natasha and do whatever we want with it. Canon is just canon. To me, the whole point of fandom is to play with the things that we want more of/want to be different.

But anyway, I've been trying to find more people who want to be level-headed/excited about the good things we'll be getting (because there will be good things, even if it's not all good) so feel free to drop me a message whenever you want. :)

Well I have a somewhat different approach than you about that. I do like to stay true to canon, and take my lead from it. Which is why my argument is there is enough in MCU canon already to justify loving these two. And there are enough indications that there will be no reason to stop loving these two in AoU.

I hope so...in this film or another film, just somewhere I want a deaf Clint. I'm so mean lol.

I want it too, but probably not in this film just because there's so much going on? I'd want it to have the time to be done well.

I vote for a Black Widow mini series like Agent Carter. Clint can be her supporting man and go deaf in that. :p

But awesome as Deaf Clint could be, I don't want him damaged! *wibbles* I'm mostly peeing myself because of the Natasha/Bruce clip, but then again, maybe she is using seduction to keep him from hulking out. And she kissed Steve and we all freaked out about that. Trying to remain calm.....

Deaf does not equal damaged. It means differently abled ...

My personal to-be-jossed head canon has Clint being deafened in the early part of the movie, and then NOT be susceptible to some of Ultron's weaponry as a result.

Well, I didn't mean it like that- I meant I'm fine with attractive grime and bruising, but anything that might hit him hard enough to impair his wee grumpy little face......

I don't necessarily think she's even being seductive? Like, it's billed that way in the trailer because we don't see the outcome of that moment, but it could easily be an emotionally intimate moment between friends, which would fit with what we've been told about their character development in this movie. Remember, the Winter Soldier trailer showed us Steve and Natasha sitting on a bed together post-showers. I don't think this is that different.

Maybe in Cap3? I just want lots of Clint. I don't really care what he does ... ;-)
