The punch and pie portion of the evening.
So hi there, internets.  My name is Bee, and I've been having some Clint/Natasha (BlackEye? Sorry that will never not be anything but aweomely hilarious) Feelings since seeing the Avengers movie.  And I wanted somewhere that people who were struggling with similar Issues could gather and discuss stuff and post fic and icons and graphics and meta and vids and ALL OF THE FANNISH THINGS.  So here we are.  This is totally a work in progress, and if you're interested in helping out, the more the merrier, I say.

I don't really have much of a vision for this comm other than a place to geek out about this ship and these characters and also a place to keep track of all the fic that will surely be coming our way.  **crosses fingers for epic amounts of fic**

So I guess that's about it.  Thoughts, ideas, questions, concerns?  Give it a shout.  And don't be shy!  Please stop in and introduce yourself!  I'm brand new to this fandom, but the people I've met so far have been lovely.  So come on out and declare some Clint/Natasha love.

I'm a feminist and the portrayal of female superheroes (objectified, fridged, etc) has always annoyed me. I was so happy Black Widow was fantastically written, proving that it is possible to have a well written female character in an action movie who isn't just eye candy.

I'm right there with you. I'd heard some good buzz about the movie in general, and I love the actors individually (see: Renner Problems), but it all came down to how good Black Widow's character was. If they didn't get her right then the rest wouldn't matter. And wow oh wow did they nail her characterization. Just perfect.

Then Natasha had her scene with Clint, and I was expecting them to make out at any moment because that would have been the conventional way to go, but they didn't and instead they went to a lot of effort to make their relationship seem believable, with history and issues and UST like whoa.

YES. So much yes to this. My only other fandom has been BSG, and primarily Kara/Lee, and that was precisely the reason I was drawn to them as well. Stong characters, interesting backstory, UST like whoa, and going out of their way not to act on it. I'm kind of a fan anyways of where the canon relationship stuff stays mostly in the background, and I like that there's a little of that with C/N. Even better I like that there's lots going on under the surface and subtext out the wazoo. So much fun.
