ATTF: Games Night

Hi all, it's games night in the bar this All The Things Friday. Pull up a stool, grab yourself a drink, and start a thread with any kind of forum style game you can think of, and let's have some fun. Some examples/suggestions:

- caption competition: post a picture, people suggest captions and post more pictures
- word association
- complete the quote: post the start of a quote, next person completes the quote and starts another
- interview the person below you: ask a random question, next person answers it and asks another
- three word story: post three words, then the next person posts three more...
- sentence story: start a sentence, next person completes it and then starts another sentence...
- rec tag: request a rec or something you're looking for (a certain type of fic, an image etc) and the next person recs you something then requests something themselves

Marvel, and particularly Clint and Natasha, themed games very welcome, obviously ;) I'll start a few off, but please do join in with your own suggestions too!

Things to remember:
1) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.
2) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings).
3) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut.
4) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)

Complete The Marvel Quote

Game: the first person posts the start of a quote. The next person completes the quote and starts a new one, and so on. If it ends up branching out into multiple threads because more than one person replies, go for it! Starting off with an easy one:

"This is monsters and magic..."

Interview The Next Person

Game: throw out a question for the next person to answer. They then ask another question. Can be as Marvel orientated or as random as you like.

I traveled to stay with a friend whom I had met at a convention, and was flustered, pleased, and very flattered to find that one of my favorite authors, a dear friend of his, was even more excited to meet me than I was to meet her, because he had apparently told so many stories of our time hanging out. Pretty cool!

dalaire's "Guerdon". It's a Star Trek Voyager AU of some 300k words. I printed it out (all 60+ chapters!!) and read it while travelling to Poland to support a friend whose husband had passed away suddenly during their posting; it gave me some kind of escape in the evenings while I cooked for dozens of people for several days. The story itself is superbly plotted, the characters spot on, the prose sharp and sophisticated, and the smut, when it happens, well-earned and smokin'. When I was done, I decided that maybe this whole fan fiction writing thing might be something I could get into myself...

Sentence Story

How it works: The first person starts a sentence, but leaves it unfinished. The next person completes that sentence and starts a new one, leaving the new one unfinished. The result should be a round robin style story.
