Nah I'm just more worried than normal as to whether I'll be a good match for someone this time around, what with all the "I don't want this, nor this, and I'm not particularly into that either" post AOU. Also, no blame falls on you whatsoever, I actually went to a non-shipper friend and straight up told her to tell me what to do. XD She's used to that, it's not the first time, heeh.

It was a slightly more general "I" (should have used "we" really) but still. I am super into you staying at least of the peripheries of Clint/Nat and therefore make grabby hands when you're unsure. Sometimes I worry I'm being a little OTT. ;P

Well, I spent like an hour vetting possible prompts and then shuffling them around, so here's hoping there's something writeable in there. XD

On the one hand, I'm not signing up this year because taking part and organising last year was a mistake, and I have too many other things on.

On the other hand, I can see the prompts being left and OH THEY'RE GOOD. Like I may have to play with some of these, even with my pile of yet-to-be-finished promptathon prompts and other tics and argh, because damn.

Which is to say you should absolutely join up ;D

Ok, this is a shot in the dark, but... When I hear "and a one, and a two" I'm reminded of watching "The Lawrence Welk Show" with my grandparents. You are probably way too young to know who/what that is, so I included the relevant bit from his "wiki" article (he was a famous band leader). I have to say, though, I found his whole story interesting (from a sentimental pov). Anyway, hope this helps solve why that phrase sounds familiar.

Much of the show's appeal was Welk himself. His unusual accent appealed to the audience. While Welk's English was passable, he never did grasp the English "idiom" completely and was thus famous for his "Welk-isms," such as "George, I want to see you when you have a minute, right now" and "Now for my accordion solo; Myron, will you join me?" His TV show was recorded as if it were a live performance, and it was sometimes quite free-wheeling. Another famous "Welk-ism" was his trademark count-off, "A one and a two . . . ," which was immortalized on his California automobile license plate that read "A1ANA2." This plate is visible on the front of a Model A Ford in one of the shows from 1980.
