There's still a lot of pain in the back of his head, even two days later. He's not sure if it's the possession or the hit Natasha gave him, or both, or that he really hasn't slept since he woke up.

It's about two in the morning, and he finds himself at the top of Stark Tower, perched by now open balcony, looking out at the city, unknowingly watching for another door.

Natasha finds him there a few hours later, and sits next to him. She holds out her hand, a couple of white pills in her palm.

"The headache won't go away unless you sleep you know."

Clint doesn't say anything, takes the pills and swallows them dry. He also takes the granola bar she offers with her other hand, and eats it. He looks at Natasha for a few moments before turning back to the city.

"I'm remembering some of it," he says.

"Oh."

Natasha sits closer to him, her arm brushing his.

"I," he sighs, "sometimes I'm not sure if I'm still awake or if I'm sleeping, because it's all blurry. Probably the concussion you gave me."

He catches the smile out of the corner of his eye, and let's himself smile back.

"Do you remember what you told me, that first day?"

Clint nods, and waits for her to say it. Natasha tales his hand, her thumb rubbing circles in his palm.

""What you've done isn't who you are. Not the whole of it."

"I know. I just. I wake up, and it's another unfamiliar room and I--"

"Come with me."

She leads him to her room, and pushes him onto the bed. He watches as she takes off his shows, and then her own. She lays behind him, and pulls the covers over them both. Her arm reaches across and takes his hand.

"When you wake up, I'll still be here, and you'll know this is real. Now sleep."

Clint squeezes her hand, and closes his eyes. And for the first time in days, sleeps.
