FANMIX: we don't talk too much about it
Once upon a time, this fanmix was going to have a) a pretty graphic and b) babble about each song choice because I have all the musical choice feelings. However, I cannot really do pretty graphics, and my ability to do words to a nice, official-post standard has been missing the past couple of days (and I'm sick of this languishing about unposted).

However! I hope you guys enjoy anyway. First fanmix, ever, because ahah, what has this pairing done to me.

we don't talk too much about it

Him to her:

Refugee - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers (lyrics)

We got somethin', we both know it, we don't talk too much about it
Ain't no real big secret, all the same, somehow we get around it
Listen, it don't really matter to me baby
You believe what you want to believe

Take Back the City - Snow Patrol (lyrics)

Take back the city for yourself tonight
Or I’ll take back the city for me
Take back the city for yourself tonight

God knows you put your life in two a times
And it’s both cradled you and crushed
But now it’s time to make your own demands

Live to Rise – Soundgarden (lyrics)

What if the one thing that I missed
Was everything I need to pass the test?
And if I fail what happens then?
Can I still count on you as a friend?

Temple of Love - Sisters of Mercy (lyrics)

With the sunlight died and the night above me
With a gun for a lover and a shot for the pain inside
You run for cover in the temple of love
You run for another, it's all the same
For the wind will blow and throw your walls aside

Falling For You - Eskimo Joe (lyrics)

There's no getting away
And no place to run
And by the look in your eyes
I should've carried a gun
I would've carried your heart
But it's covered in holes

Him to her, her to him:

Center of the Sun - Conjure One (lyrics)

Young boy in the market
Sees the girl alone and asks her
"Have you lost your way home?"; she sings,
"You say the most beautiful things, just like my violins"

I look into your eyes
I am at the center of the sun
And I cannot be hurt
By anything this wicked world has done

Set Fire to the Third Bar - by Snow Patrol and Martha Wainwright (lyrics)

I find the map and draw a straight line
Over rivers, farms, and state lines
The distance from 'A' to where you'd be
It's only finger-lengths that I see
I touch the place where I'd find your face

Her to him:

Don't Point, Don't Scare It - by Butterfly Boucher (lyrics)

We sneak into the trees
We hide beneath the leaves
And nobody will find us here
Oh we dance across the lake
We laugh into the wind
And nobody will find us out

Sweet the Sting - Tori Amos (lyrics)

With a strut into the room
With his hat cocked sure defiantly
He said "I, I have heard
That you can play the way I like it to be played."
I said, "I can play, anyway that you want.
But first I want, I want to know

Love in Motion – Icehouse, featuring Christina Amphlett (lyrics)

now is it such a sin
uh huh round again
taking that back step one more time
oh no there she goes
look at that girl, love in motion

Hold On – Sarah McLachlan (lyrics)

Hold on to yourself
you know that only time will tell
What is it in me that refuses to believe
this isn't easier than the real thing?

Pavlov's Bell – Aimee Mann (lyrics)

Tell me what I already know
That we can't talk about it
No, we can't talk about it
Because nobody knows, that's how I nearly fell

we don't talk too much about it

Please comment if you take, and I'd love to know what you guys think!

Ooh, I'd love to read that ficlet, if it ever gets written!

Aimee Mann is the best, and I'm not sure that Pavlov's Bell could be more Natasha if it tried *laughs*

And :D! Thank you so much.
