bob5fic writes fantastic dark Clint/Natasha that never seems gratuitous, that makes you think, and punches you in the gut.

Try Myxomatosis which twists things inside out and is full of thoughts on how appearances are deceptive. The author doesn't list any ratings or warnings, but I'd say R at least, probably 18, for sex and violence, and I'd warn for murder (of animals and people), getting off on murder, child abuse, language. The opening quote is from the film Dahmer: I’m a pervert. I’m an exhibitionist. I’m a masturbator. And a killer… Like you.

small acts of kindness is another one of my favourites from the same author written for the prompt Quite literally, the only reason Natasha and Clint are together is because she owes him her life. And he won’t let her forget that. This is more subtle, so probably wouldn’t rate highly, but I’d warn for dubious/non-consensual sex and living, and extreme possessiveness.

Natural Born Killers AU from experimentallycanthropy on tumblr – link is to all posts tagged as this verse, scroll down for the start. Um, not sure how to warn for this… It’s described in the first ficlet as a ‘bloodsoaked romance’. I’d put the photosets at PG13 maybe, the fics at R. There’s a playlist too :) Lots of killing, crime sprees, complete disregard for morals, blood. If you’re worried about any particular triggers ask me and I’ll double check for you.

Oh totally. I almost don't even think of this one as dark!fic so much (although it clearly is) and instead think of it more as an instant classic-- a must-read of the C/N verse as it were. It's so beautifully written. Gah.

'Red' by Vongchild (http://archiveofourown.org/works/424639) is great. Twisty and dark with hints of jealous!Clint and a lot of co-dependency.

'The Only Soldier Now Is Me' by samalander (http://archiveofourown.org/works/434090/chapters/736482) is a brilliant blend of Natasha's comics backstory with the movieverse, where Natasha is both disturbing and compelling.

I finally got around to reading the first one and gah-- so much love. The second has been on my reading list for weeks; I've been trying to wait for enough time to where I can go through it all at one sitting. Thanks for the recs, my dear!
