But - yay!promptathon. The other day someone circulated a post on tumblr in which people were asked to identify themselves as a particular sort of writer. I never, as a point of principle, reblog things that ask to be reblogged, but I DID see myself in one thing: "deadline writer". (Which is not the same thing as deadbeat writer, but can come close when D-day looms and you're on Paragraph #3 of a minimum 1,000 word story...) So, yeah - deadline writer. That's me. (You want proof? 2 times out of 3, I end up writing to my own prompt. Which, honestly, I could have done on my own time. But without a promptathon deadline? Nah ... )

All this to say: YAY!!! Promptathon!!!!

You can certainly start thinking of prompts now, if you like. ;)

*rubs hands together and cackles with glee* I have been storing prompts up to give away since Christmas for this. I do love me some promptathon-ing :D

Ok, so due to lots of issues (f u Crohn's Disease), I've already failed at my new year's resolution. See, every day I was going to make note of the first song I heard on the radio - no matter what it was - and write a short Clint-Nat fic that evening using it as a prompt. Positive: I have a great list. Negative: not one fic. Positive: now I can share some of those prompts with this most awesome group. Looking very forward to this!!

Oh, ugh. Crohn's... That's a tough one, and management almost a full-time job. Don't flagellate yourself over needing to let some goals go! *hugs* We'll just all have to try and write some of your stories for you.

gaahhhhh, i WANT to do this, and will probably pop by, but I have a few very important exams coming up that will.. hmm.. probably determine if I will be left penniless on the streets, and I am definitely going to fail one of them because my chinese level is horrifying. xD AM EXCITED ANYWAYS.

Well, two of the exams are English Language and English Literature, so hey, gotta practice writing, right? (I say this every year and I never actually write anything)

Try your best, that's all anyone can ask. Honestly, at the end of the day school exams and everything are all relative, depending on what you want to do with life, but I'm a big believer in learning - learning new things is fun. Maybe think of it as learning for that Natasha tries to learn Chinese fic ;) Good luck!
