BOOKS!
I've read all of these except Burial Rites (which is in my pile, aha) and seconded :)

I think perhaps these might also be up your alley:

1. All The Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater
Here is a thing that everyone wants: a mircale. Here is a thing that everyone fears: what it takes to get one. Colardo 1962. A family who can perform miracles and the pilgrims who come seeking them. Renegade radio. Love. One of my favourites from 2017.

2. The Rook by Daniel O'Malley
Essentially what the magical M15 would be in Harry Potter. Complete with civil service bureaucracy and hilarity. It starts with our female, middling-aged protagonist waking up in a park in London with amnesia surrounded by dead bodies with a letter from her former self in her pocket telling her that someone wants her dead. She has to figure out what's going on. Whilst figuring out what the hell her job even is and how to do it. Amusement, espionage, magic.

3. City of the Lost by Kelley Armstrong
Depends how dark you like your books, but Armstrong does steamy romance and if you like mystery - there is a town in the middle of nowhere and off the grid that takes in people on the run. Casey is a homocide dectective with a secret who let's her best friend, on the run from an abusive ex, get them in. They want Casey, because the town has had it's first murder and everyone has secrets...

I'm on goodreads here !
