Welp, this year I want to finish Wide Awake. I want to finish Wide Awake, I want to write more OT3 fic and I want to participate in more exchanges and challenges. And making a new cosplay would be awesome too but I think that less likely to be actually achieved.

Unless finishing Wide Awake counts, not really. I'd like to get a decent job once I graduate and I'd like to go to New Zealand, but neither of those are goals exactly.

Um, YES! I am excited for (films) Black Panther, Shape of the Water, Annihilation, A Wrinkle in Time (books) Gnomon by Nick Harkaway in paperback, finishing N K Jemisin's Broken Earth Trilogy, ALSO NEW SAGA IS OUT OMG (TV) Jessica Jones season 2

I'm also passively interested to see how the new Aquaman film goes down - mostly because of Jason Momoa.

I am DYING to see The Shape of Water, my best friend saw it in DC and loved it!! I also just got the new Saga, like, yesterday and I CAN NOT WAIT to read it!!!

Also, Aquaman. Can't really bring myself to care - but then again I didn't for Antman, and it turned out fine. I cannot, however, for the life of me see why people are swooning over Jason Momoa. Heresy, I know.

The ICE agents are putting on their most frightening scowl, the one usually reserved for the unregistered owners of Taco restaurants, or bed-ridden children taking undue advantage of the nation’s health care system. Of course, looking scary is difficult when you’ve seen a teenager pick up an armoured vehicle, occupants included, to lift its wheels off her baby brother’s plush bildshnipe.

Infinity War, duh. My prediction is that Hawkeye will kill Thanos, because no one will be looking for a guy to brig a paleolithic weapon to a space fight. And Black Panther, because I want to learn more about Wakanda (as a political construct, in particular). Also, the final season of Game of Thrones. We're into the quarter finals now in terms of character demise, so I'm keen to see who'll be left standing.

I want to write some Bucky/Clint/Nat and some Polyvengers fic this year. I also want to fic out all my Ragnarok feelings because I have a lot of them. Also, someone tell me that I can't just write urban fantasy and magical realism AUs for every fandom because somehow that's all I want to do. Also, that AU i want to write where Pepper, Peggy Natasha are rovers, rescue Wanda and Pietro from Hydra and shenanigans ensue.

I try not to make absolute resolutions or goals, because then I never keep them! But I've noticed that tracking how often (or not) I do things that I want to do more of motivates me to do them more. So: to be healthier, just in general eat better and do more walking/exercise. And to write more :)

Are there any films/books/tv shows/music etc being released this year that you're really excited about? Black Panther, Infinity War, Shape of Water, Greatest Showman (circus!)... I am perpetually behind with TV, but of what I'm up to date with I'm looking forward to seeing who wins the Game of Thrones. LOTS OF BOOKS, ALWAYS <3 First up, Holly Black's The Cruel Prince just came out this week. I love how she writes fae.

-continue my series of ficlets around Natasha joining SHIELD
-continue the little thing I wrote for the Steve/Maria secret santa last year with scenes around Cap 2 and AOU
-continue the radio au I wrote for prompt a thon with either Natasha's POV or a Steve/Bucky spin off (maybe. I'm not sure.)
-and probably some other little things too. I want to try something like the thing I wrote about Venice, but it all depends on inspiration!

I've had an exercise goal since October, so I'll be continuing that. I'm also trying to read and journal more, so I've decided that computer time ends at 9pm on weeknights so I have at least an hour to read or write before bed. And, not media related, but my husband and I are leaving the Midwest this summer and finally moving back home to the east coast, which I'm unbelievably excited about!

Of particular interest to this comm, I have the Valentine's Day C/N where they find themselves actually celebrating the holiday (from a prompt here a few years ago), the C/N where Natasha finds herself cooking complicated things for her partner (also from a prompt here), and the C/N all-girl Ghostbusters AU (yes, another languishing prompt.) That doesn't count the Barton family + Auntie Nat & Wanda working out a few post-Raft issues at Disney World, a Steve/Nat companion to my rolling stone 'verse, or assorted Clint/Darcy and Clint/Kate PWPs (much less the dragon-shifter novel that is a thinly veiled Clint/Coulson.) Finishing things would be good!

In books, Naomi Novik has a new take on Rumplestiltskin coming in the summer, Spinning Silver. Nnedi Okorafor is writing a Black Panther run this year. I'm still getting through S2 of The Crown and there's more Poldark and Outlander in my TV future, too.

The usual: eat better, exercise more, do the ironing on time (or at least call the nice lady who helps with the ironing on time). Stop buying new books before I read the ones sitting on the shelves. Go out on Sundays to get some vitamin D instead of snuggling on the couch with tea and magazines.
