Are these comics written post-movie Avengers? I mean does Marvel have this weird master plan to get them together in the comics so it leaves the door open for the movies? And I don't know about the timeline/connection to the moveverse. At the very least I'd say this hints at the strong possibility for future kissin' in the movies. Someone help us out here...

This is only two pages of this book too! I have no idea if the whole comic is about them. THESE ARE THINGS I NEED TO KNOW.

Was there bantering and fighting before this scene. Oh man. I can't get into the comics too. I can't. I just need someone to give me the Cliff Notes version of the story. GAH.

I also wish they would do a whole series of comics where they're drawn in Scarlett and Jeremy's likeness. We need that...for reasons!

I dunno on the comic-specific questions, but I do know that are those among our number who MIGHT be grabbing a copy today, so they MIGHT have moar information to share with the class....

Oh the likenesses. Amen to that. Although I couldn't help but appreciate the nod to the stubble going on with Clint. And Nat's lips do look a bit fuller than previous comic book incarnations. I like to think those things are conscious decisions. ;)

Okay, so I managed to read the whole comic! This is all the kissin' there is, but there are some panels before this scene where Clint is watching Natasha in the background and you can tell he's worried about her. Aww.

Also, there's a talking raccoon. With a gun.

I think Mr. Raccoon dude is one of the guardians of the galaxy peeps that are getting their own movie. Methinks the director is going to need a strong sense of ... not taking himself or herself too seriously.

We-ell, I may have heard a rumor that a book is being written for Marvel (or just with Marvel's approval? not sure) about BW/H that somehow ties together the movieverse and the comicverse. Or something. I'm still a little confused about that part. Anyway, I don't know how far along it is yet, so I don't want to say more right now for fear of getting hopes up, but I shall definitely pass along more info as it becomes available.

I HAVE to take this sort of thing to mean that Marvel's aware of the growing C/N fanbase and possibly that this is (with any luck) a sign of shippy goodness to come in future movies.

I'll just translate this into - if the fanbase keeps growing and we show our undivided LOVE for Clint/Natasha, they'll give it to us, right?
