While I love the strong friendship we got in the MCU with these two, I prefer AUs (no big surprise here, it's something I do with all my fandoms!).
Most of my favorite stories are set neither at the tower nor at the farm, but at Clint's apartment (building), which is, as far as I know, leaned from the comics.
But on a general note - as long as these two are together (in whatever form or shape), the location has to take the backburner!

Bucky!! Fell in love with his character in "The Winter Soldier", and to be honest, he's taken over the leading position from our resident archer (who comes in on second) ;)

“Ah, totally had forgotten that,” Steve gave back with a shrug of his shoulders. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that we got rid of Rumlow and Rollins,” Natasha nodded, “but I think it’s a bit strange NOT to get the names of the newbies.”

“Well, you know Nick and Phil – everything’s happening for a reason, so I guess they have valid reasons to keep them from us.”

“Yeah,” Steve said while grabbing his backpack, “still think it’s weird, though.”

“No bro, you’re weird,” Sam Wilson threw in while catching up to the two. “But seriously, Steve: what do you think is weird?” For emphasis, he gave Steve a once-over.

“Steve thinks that something is wonky with the new teachers, since we didn’t get their names ahead of today,” Natasha supplied, barely able to suppress a smile.

“Hey, this is Fury and Coulson we’re indirectly speaking of, and with these two, I don’t even get started with questioning what they are doing. I focus on doing my job the best I can, and whatever happens, happens.”

What tropes do you love, hate, or love to hate?

I love most tropes, except for those dealing with actual abuse (both human and animal), though I accept them if these things happened in the past and the character in question has come out on the other side in a better way (no matter how long the road is)

Please don't take this as a dig or anything, but I feel it's worth pointing out that the "resurgence" of Clint with hearing aids came in Matt Fraction's 2012 Hawkeye run which debuted after the Avengers was released, and the part where he does lose hit hearing was released after Civil War came out or something. I 100% understand your frustration, and I would love to have a Hawkeye more closely aligned with that Clint Barton, but the comic Clint that MCU Hawkeye is based on is, as far as I'm aware, not hard of hearing at all.

You know what, I’m going to surprise people by not mentioning my OT3 at all and instead reccing United We Stand, my Sharon Carter Civil War missing scene fic that I’m actually really proud of.

Okay so I am mentioning my OT3 fic. :P

They trap her in the middle now, so she can’t always steal the covers. Not that it matters now; it’s late July and New York is sweltering, all the day’s heat trapped in glass and chrome and concrete to be radiated out during the night. The single sheet they’d pulled over themselves when they’d gone to bed is tangled around Natasha's feet, both Clint hand James having kicked it off entirely to lie either side of her, sweating through their boxers. Or, Ivy Park shorts, if you’re James. Which: what the hell? Clint knows he doesn’t own Ivy Park clothing, and Kate would kill him before he could steal anything Beyoncé-related from her, which means that these are either Natasha's (highly unlikely) or that James owns Ivy Park activewear. Incredible.

They’re pretty short too. Clint can’t believe he hadn’t noticed them until now.


What tropes do you love, hate, or love to hate?

Love: Pining/UST. Is that a trope? I dunno. But holy crap I live for that shit.

Hate: Curtain fic. Because it’s often so wildly out of character.

Love to hate: I’m going to be controversial and say A/B/O here. Mostly, people don’t do anything interesting with this trope and it veers into terrible very easily, but occasionally someone will actually think about it, and then you can get some amazing ideas.

Option C: Both. Something totally happened, but Clint and Nat are still totally trolling us about it.

Also I'm feeling in the minority... I love a good A/B/O fic but definitely the best ones are the ones that do something interesting with it! I've been reading a few recently that are like... commentaries on universal healthcare and how women (aka Omegas) are marginalized by lack of access to birth control AND there's also great smut. Win/win!

What tropes do you love, hate, or love to hate? I am a sap. So, anything romantic with a touch of action is all for me. Friends to lovers, fake married, Avengers as family - all the goodies like that.

Budapest. Did something actually happen there or are Clint and Natasha trolling us all? Oh, something definitely happened. And I'm hell-bent on finding out what it was.

Where do you watch the Avengers cartoon? They took it off Netflix a couple years ago and I fell off watching it but I want to catch up!!

Nat looked down, and then she gave him a sardonic look. “I know you don’t believe anyone’s going to stay with you, but I’m not planning on leaving, Clint Barton,” she said, and there was almost, almost enough insolence for it to work, for him to stay calm.

What tropes do you love, hate, or love to hate?
Love hurt/comfort, angst, pining, casefic. I wouldn't say I hate it, but I continue to be mildly baffled by how the entire rest of fandom is into fake dating.

They've been in Budapest three times. Once was pretty dramatic, once was a milk run, and once was a two day stop on the way to somewhere else. Which one they're talking about at any given time is an open question.

I love exceedingly competent women: so Pepper, Carol, Sharon. I have love for them all. And do not forget the OG exceedingly competent female: Peggy Carter. Also Goose.

The last Marvel thing you watched or read? Spiderverse - my pre-ordered BluRay came in last Friday. So we watched Endgame (again, in my case) on Saturday and Spidey on Sunday, to recover. And read a couple of post-Endgame fics. The veryvery last thing I read, though, was just a few minutes ago, and that was a section of my upcoming fic, for editing purposes.

When writing I tend to live in alternative universes but I will read ALL THE THINGS.

(This is like being asked for my favourite book. WHY DID I DO THIS TO MYSELF). Um, Bucky, Carol, Steve, Tony, Pepper, Sam, Peggy, Bruce, Okoye, Peter (P), Nebula, Thor, Maria... I love team!family and team fics, so. And infinite variety and infinite combinations for pairings; lately Clint/Natasha/Bucky, Clint/Bucky, and thanks to this series by Nonymos Eddie/Venom/Annie/Dan and I haven't even seen the Venom film that's how much this fic sold me these characters, well played.

You get to create a new Marvel tv show/Disney+ spin off show. Who's in it and what's it about?
Can we get Hawkeyes a la Fraction pretty please? Black Widow early days spy tv, like Agent Carter but the 80s and 90s? Or how about Luis from Ant-Man does these short, like five minute slots where it's Luis narrating/voiceovers for little slice of life marvel universe stories in the style, I would love that.

“Fun fact,” Sharon continues, not at all intimidated by the silence, “everything that you access on your SHIELD account is accessible to SHIELD. Including your browser history - that is, the record of all the things you've looked at on the Internet.” She pauses, observing as she sips her coffee. “I mean, I don't want to make your paranoid, but just because you’re in an empty room all alone in the early hours of the morning doesn't mean that no one is watching. Not here. In fact, logging in with that kind of timestamp is more likely to throw up a red flag.”

She considers this as she takes a seat in front of her favoured computer. Surely there is no shame in acquiring knowledge and understanding?

“Is this about privacy?” she tries, which is a new concept and she's uncertain if and how it applies to herself.

“Not exactly?” Sharon frowns. “More as in: if you use a SHIELD account then you don't have any. Not that they can't check up on anyone at any time, any where, but.” She waves one hand in the air and adds, “You know?”

She does not.

“You watched porn,” Sharon says with a sigh. “On a SHIELD account. For non-work purposes. So here I am, just checking what you were looking for with that. Also to tell you that IT are nosey bastards and you shouldn't give them that kind of ammo.”

What tropes do you love, hate, or love to hate? I do enjoy tropes - identity porn, coffee shop au, fake relationship, domestic avengers (where they're still very much themselves so think knives stuck in walls), IKEA fic, road trip... I spotted a book the other day where a person on a night shift shares a flat with someone who works days and can't otherwise afford a decent place and never they meet BUT *drum roll* and I thought now THAT would be an excellent fanfic trope, ha.

Oh man! The Flat Share book! "THEY WERE ROOMMATES" I want to share this joy with everyone at work but I'm basically the only one deep in the fanfic hole (I think) so it's a joke that would go over their heads and that makes me sad.
