Yeah, it's a fair point you make re: chivalry. Wrong word maybe. What I love about *this* dynamic is that, for me, no matter how tough and capable and in control you are, I reckon everyone needs someone who wants to have their back. Not in a pushing-in, 'heeeeere I come to save the daaaaaaay!!' kind of way, just in a quiet, 'I know you got this, but, y'know, I'm on your side and I'm here' kind of way. She's never had anyone on her side before, and it makes me happy that she does now. And I love his quiet way of being her person.
