Clint and Nat are on a mission from SHIELD (either in a remote part of Canada or any part of Europe (north of the Alps, Eastern Europe into Russia)). They have completed that mission, but right that day, a heavy snowstorm causes all the airports around them to close up for the holidays and they are, more or less, stuck in that town since all of the roads are closed up as well. Cue them spending some quality time together, celebrating Christmas (bonus if it's Natasha's first "real" Christmas, due to Western standards) with the things available to them in their location (another bonus if they get together in a romantic sense during that time)
