Can I submit my fic ahead of time to be revealed with the rest or do I have to wait until September?

You can absolutely submit it as soon as it's finished, but it won't be revealed until after the deadline. Just be aware that the date you submit it will be the date it's "posted" once it's been revealed, so I strongly suggest coming back to change the posting date on the day of the deadline, so your fic will appear at the top of the taglists once revealed. :)
