Hi All, it’s Secret Santa sign up time!
We run this fic exchange a little differently, so please read this post carefully and follow the rules and instructions. Thank you!
This is a fic exchange where you sign up with ideas/prompts for what kind of gift you’d like, then in a second post choose what idea/prompt gift you'd like to give, then everyone gets a gift and makes a gift, and it's all anonymous until reveals at the end. This post is to sign up to take part in the exchange. There will also be a post later asking for volunteers to make graphics, pinch-hit, beta read, and cheerlead, all of which you can do regardless of whether or not you join in the exchange. (Pinch hitters will have a minimum of the week after the exchange deadline to create.)
RULES
1) The usual community rules apply.
2) We’re a Clint and/or Natasha communitY that welcomes all things Marvel, including other characters and pairings (and threesomes or moresomes). However, for this exchange at least ONE of your prompts MUST focus on Clint and/or Natasha or be a generic prompt. This could be Natasha and/or Clint, individually or as friends, lovers, spouses, partners, or in gen fic. This is to make sure your gift giver has at least one prompt where they’re familiar with the characters.
3) Fics must be a MINIMUM of 1,000 words and a MAXIMUM of 10,000 words.
4) You DON'T have to be a member of the community to join in the exchange and you don't have to be on DW. You DO need to be able to comment using OpenID or anonymously. Please provide an online handle if you if you haven’t added yourself to the community’s Username Database.
5) This is an anonymous exchange, so don’t reveal who your giftee is until after the reveals!

TROUBLESHOOTING RULES
If at any point during this exchange you feel you won’t be able to submit your gift by the deadline please let us know straight away by email or PM. We don’t yell, we just want to make sure that everyone who participates gets a gift.
To keep things fair, for participants, pinch-hitters, and your mods, if you don’t submit by the deadline a pinch-hitter will automatically be assigned. If you then submit a completed fic by an extension date you have agreed with a mod, the pinch-hit will become a community gift. If you don’t submit by the extension date then your fic will not be posted as part of the exchange and the gift for you will be reassigned as a community gift. We’ll still love you, but please be considerate of your fellow bar members and mods – unlike Santa’s elves your mods can’t work logistical magic.

Comments are screened to keep them anonymous. After the sign up deadline of MIDNIGHT GMT Friday 9th October we will anonymise all of your requests and post them to the comm. You will then reply to that post with your top three picks of which requests you’d like to create for. (There will be more information on this in the requests post.)
We can't guarantee that you’ll get your choices, but we’ll use them to match you up as best we can and will keep to your choices as much as possible! Please feel free to include lots of information in your sign up form; it actually makes it easier, both for matching and for whoever gets you as an assignment.
Once matching has been done you will receive your assignment by email. We’ll provide information closer to the time on how to submit your gifts, which will be by email to the community email address. Remember, this is an anonymous exchange!
For questions: there’s a thread at the top of this post that your mods will keep un-screening the comments on so we can chat.

We will make this section anonymous and then post it to the comm with everyone else’s so that people taking part can choose their top three that they would like to write for.
Prompts: prompt at LEAST 3 ideas and no more than 6 that you would like. This can be anything! Winter kisses or fireside cuddles, SHIELD missions or Avengers battles, domestic fluff or silly antics, AU ideas or crossovers… Past Secret Santas and the promptathon posts can be helpful if you get stuck. If you really don’t mind what you get then feel free to say so, but you still need to give at least 3 prompts so that if in doubt your giftee has something to work with.
Yes please: a brief list of things that you like that aren’t as specific as a prompt, like preferences for comics or films or mash ups of the two, sexy times, banter, female friendships etc. Your gift giver isn’t obliged to use them, but it can help give them some ideas. Again please don’t just say ‘I don’t mind’, instead say something like ‘feel free to create whatever you like, but some things I like are…’
No thank you: Anything that you really do not want, such as character death, angst, fluff, background pairings that you actively dislike, anything that might be triggering for you etc. (Feel free to specify if some things are just a rather not and some are no-way, not-ever.)
Characters/Pairings: 1) how you like your Clint and Natasha (e.g. gen fic or together, ignoring everything from AOU onwards, OT3s, comics based, complete AU... ) and 2) other characters and pairings you like from the MCU and/or comics
TO GIVE
This section, which doesn’t have to be long, is to help your mods with matching.
I’d like to: genres, ideas etc that you’d like to create, that you’d feel comfortable creating, that you would be really happy to have assigned to you! Would you be happy writing from the comics, or just the films, or mixing them up? Are you comfortable writing AUs? Are sexy times your thing or missions or hilarity?
I’d rather not: Things that you don’t really like to create or feel uncomfortable with, anything you don’t feel confident in writing or a genre that isn’t your strength
Absolutely Not: Things that are an absolute no for you, such as anything triggering, character death, things that you will not do. (You may get a request that has something it in from your ‘rather not’ section that you can ignore, because the request has other prompts in it or because it’s not a deal breaker for the requester, but these are things that we will make sure you don’t get in your assignment if we can absolutely help it.)
Characters/Pairings: Please let us know if what you would like to give is different to what you would like to receive.
TIMELINE
SIGN UP: from now until MIDNIGHT GMT Friday 9th October
CHOICES POST: will go up that weekend and be available until MIDDAY GMT Saturday 17th October
