Hello to everyone who's signed up to Secret Santa this year! (Also a shout out to the people who have volunteered so far to pinch hit if needed, thank you <3 )

The next step is to make your choices, which we'll use to help match people up.

Below is an anonymised list of what the 18 people (!!!) who have signed up have said that they would like to receive as a gift in this year’s Secret Santa exchange (taken from the Details/Description section of the AO3 sign ups). Each bold number section (ie ONE) is one person/request, containing a number of prompts and possibly a 'yes please' and 'no thank you' note.

Your mission is to select the top four people/requests that you would like to write for. You do not have to write for everything in a request, but you should pick four that contain ideas that interest you.

Everyone taking part in this exchange is asked to please reply to this post by 16:00 GMT Sunday 19 October with the following in a comment:

1) When the Soul Stone is returned, Natasha comes back to life, fights her way back from Vormir, and lands up on the doorstep of the Barton farmhouse. Clint, Laura, and the kids take in 'Auntie Nat' and help her cope/readjust/find herself again.

2) Instead of modern-day SHIELD agents, Clint and Natasha are SSR agents in the '40s, dealer's choice on whether they're born earlier or time-travelled or whatever. Interactions with any or all characters from CA:TFA or the Agent Carter TV series welcome, but not necessary.

3) Clint and Natasha get a week off from SHIELD duties for Christmas and decide to embrace all the traditions they've never had a chance to enjoy before (may or may not involve kissing under mistletoe!)

4) Natasha introduces her boyfriend, Bucky, to her best friend, Clint. Any kind of AU or skew on MCU canon would be welcome.

5) Clintasha Historical Romance AU, preferably either Regency or Medieval, dealer's choice on whether it's real-world based or fantasy/fairytale type.

The team all being friends and especially the ladies all being friends would be very appreciated. I'd prefer something with a happy/positive ending. Endgame didn’t happen unless everyone lived. I'm more familiar with the MCU canon than comics but I don't mind comics influences.

FOUR

1) Yelena really wants to fix Bob's self-esteem issues, so she brings him to the only guy she knows who has worse issues than him: Clint Barton. Optional assists from Kate, Natasha, Alexei, and/or the only guy who has no such issues AT ALL, Tony Stark.

2) "I get emails from a raccoon." Natasha and Rocket try and keep each other sane during the Blip. Clint happens. (Ronin or not, angsty or not - dealer's choice.)

3) Early SHIELD days. Clint has orders to kill Natasha if she steps out of line; clandestine Hydra elements in SHIELD try their best to make that happen. All Clint and Natasha want is do their jobs (plus...whatever). The SHIELD betting pool is invested - on several levels. Possibility for outsider POV.

4) Clint Barton awakes one morning to find himself transformed into a [cat/dog/varmint of your choice]; the last thing he remembers is someone hissing a Word of Power. Needless to say, communication with [whoever turns up at his apartment to check up on him - could be multitudes...] is a challenge.

5) Stark's latest experiment in trying to recreate a Star Trek-like replicator comes with a major glitch (accidental time travel, body swap, miniaturization, multiplication, morphing into a cartoon version of oneself...). Shenanigans ensue.

6) Blank cheque - something you've been meaning to write but haven't had the opportunity to.

2) Domestic Avengers on Clint's farm (can be the Barton Farm, or just Clint's Farm) where the plot involves various members trying to handle Clint's aggressive rooster who has been trying to dominate his chickens. The boys all get pummeled by said rooster in their attempts. Natasha for the win (Feel free to have her solve the problem by culling lol)

3) (Whumpy H/C) Yelena is in crisis (Could be mental health-related from trauma/being alone after Nat left to go back to the Avengers, could involve substances &/or self-harm). Nat & Clint find her, & Nat takes care of her all night through the worst of it. Clint sits out of Yelena's eyesight & just within Nat's reach, taking care of Nat so she doesn't get triggered/dissociate (ASL is a good tool)

4) Nat & Yelena sister conversation about love, romance and sex in that context (as opposed to a Red Room tool). Both struggling, but trying to move forward in their roles as sisters and away from the familiarity of being groomed as weapons. Yelena questioning- in her guarded way- what clicked in Nat to trust Clint enough with intimacy. Nat then probing Yelena to look at what she wants, and be OK to trust a little. Can be from perspective of any orientation for Yelena (including ace)

5) OG6 in a diner & "American Pie" comes on. Nat flees. Clint chases her down & she tells him everything of the little girl with blonde hair whom she couldn't save. End on at least a hopeful note that one day, they'll look for her again (if not vowing to actively do so now)

6) Night before the Time Heist. The rest of the team is out planning. Clint and Nat are... locked away in her room having fierce, intimate conversations and escape-from-reality sex. Feel free to leave it at they fall asleep in each other's arms, or a canon-divergence happens (ie the Soul Stone shows up in the gauntlet & Vormir never happens)

3) Natasha reads a romance novel and thinks “who would even want something like this”. Over time she finds herself actually enjoying all the things she felt were stupid in the book with Clint.

4) Nat being unhinged on a mission, Clint getting excited over it.

SEVENTEEN

1) Just after the first Avengers movie, Dreykov and the Red Room kidnap Natasha and put her under the influence of Melina's chemical subdugation and release her to spy on SHIELD and the Avengers, now that she's their puppet. Clint notices there's something wrong with her though.

2) In Iron Man 2, Natasha is still working for the Red Room/Mother Russia, sent there to steal the arc reactor technology. Clint is sent to spy on Tony and convinces Natasha to help them stop Vanko and after that to defect to SHIELD.

3) Team Delta + the oddest jobs they did while undercover.

4) Clint is a "renowned" cryptid enthusiast and YouTuber travelling around the globe. Natasha is a sceptic local pretending to have witnessed a cryptid to prank Clint.

5) Android!Natasha. She can either be fleeing the lab where she's been made, or she can start having emotions while she's working alongside Clint for SHIELD, or anything you can think of. The idea being "Natasha IS a robot but that doesn't mean she can't feel."

6) Natasha finds out that the whole content of her house in Ohio is kept as evidence in a SHIELD warehouse. Clint accompanies her as moral support when she decides to take a trip down memory lane and unearth her past that laid dormant in cardboard boxes.

EIGHTEEN
