basically it's an extended version of the Clint-Loki scene ("what has it shown you, agent Barton?") with Clint supplementing information and pointing out potential weaknesses in Loki's strategy. (And discussing the team and fury)

I'm conflicted here... I see why they cut that scene, but on the other hand, depriving Jeremy Renner of screen time seems like it should be covered in the Geneva Conventions as some kind of crime against humanity.

I dunno - not only for Renner but that scene adds *so* much to the Hawkeye character! they couldn't add just 2 mins more to the movie for it?????

I'm thinking more in terms of pacing... but I think they probably could have trimmed some of Loki's whining and left in the good stuff, yeah :D

i saw a comment on tumblr about jeremy laughing at the end and how he's supposed to be sitting next to scarlett on the quinjet in that scene so oh my god he's laughing while looking at her

I really liked the extended Hawkeye scene and I think it would have been good in the movie. If nothing else I think it would have helped ground that character a little more. At least according to my unscientific method of talking with all of my friends his character does not read well at all unless you know his back story. He kind of comes off as the most indistinct of the characters. I think that scene would have helped some.

Wth, they couldn't have deleted thirty seconds of exploding buildings and left that Hawk/Loki scene in? That's kinda important for the character, he got little enough development as it is.

eta: but it's interesting that the little tidbits fandom came up with to flesh out the character are confirmed in this little clip. Just, woulda been nice to see it in canon. I wonder if the DVD will have an uncut version.

I managed to see the Bruce extra clip last night, but when I follow the links for the extra Hawkeye scene and the gag reel I get 'Disney has withdrawn this because of copyright'. I'm just gonna go crawl back into my 'haven't seen Legacy yet' little spoiler-free hole.
