I started writing a few days after I got my assignment. I have over 3,500 words written and this fic is still going. My main concern now is whether or not I'll actually be able to finish it before Dec 20.

And here I was all scared that I was gonna have trouble breaking the 1,000 word mark.

eta: we don't have a maximum word count, right?

Mine's at 6k and that's only 2 of the 7(? maybe 8?) chapters written. I didn't mean to start out writing a beast, I swear. So you will have plenty of company (read: I am glad that somebody else is having this problem, as I was panicking).

I keep seeing people talking about working on their fic and then think "crap I need to do that!"... And then remember I'm not writing. ::facepalm :: (That said, I do intend to write some treats for the comm and should probably get on that.)

Oh god so haven't even started yet! Mostly I'm just seriously intimidated by my brain and the fact that this may be longer than I ever would have planned for a fic exchange. So yeah I'm procrastinating hard but hope to get going on it soon.

And really it doesn't help that it's a fic exchange for this comm which is where I probably would have asked for plotting help/cheering since my beta isn't as heavy in the Avengers fandom lol.

Oh well, I'm thinking I will be alternating between my NaNo novel and this and just count the wordcount for both towards the 50k November goal.

When I started writing my story, I ended up being stuck at 300 words. At some point I had a great idea how to continue the story. Sadly, I did not write it down and of cause, now I don't remember what I wanted to write. *headdesk*

But then, I'm not even sure if I want to use this story for the Secret Santa. I might have taken it one step further than what the prompt intended. Now I'm a bit unsure whether it would make a good gift or not.

I guess I have to make time to sort this mess over the weekend. :(

Erm I'm writing Avengers fic for NaNo, so... no, I haven't started yet.

I have an idea of what I'm going to write... it's going to be fluffy and absolutely the opposite of plotty, so I'm hoping I'll be able to start banging it out as soon as I hit the 50K mark.

I've started, it's about 1,400 words at this point and it's going to be HUGE. Which makes me worried, because I'm a slow writer at the best of times and I'm writing my Masters thesis at the same time, which sadly takes priority.

Are we able to submit WIP chapter fics?

I have 2000 words and it's almost done, but it's terrible. I'm going to get it betaed and rewrite the hell out of it after Nano.

I'm doing fair to middling on the project. Plotting has been my friend lately but now I have to find the right words. Started out hoping for something bubbly and fun but have segued right to the angst. *sigh*

As November 1st was day 1 of National Writing Month, I have today just started my fic and it is now exactly 2232 words as of 7 hours ago.

48,000 words to go.
