Hello, dearest patrons of my favorite bar. A few announcements off the top:
I feel a bit like an absentee parent lately (**shakes fist at RL**), but I'm back and today will be your host. Today is sharing and caring day, which is kind of like a free for all, but with emphasis on the share and care. Here's how it works:
Toss your name in the ring by leaving a comment. THE SHARE PART: Tell us something fannish wise (fanwork, squee, flail, awesome people, whatever) that’s made your week a little brighter. THE CARE PART: Also take a moment to share a kind word with the person who comments above you. Tell us something you love/admire/appreciate about them. And if you don't know that person, then take the opportunity to say hello. This bar is full of wonderful people; I doubt you will be disappointed.

- All our love, thoughts and/or prayers continue to go out to the victims of hurricane Sandy. For those wishing to help, there are lots of wonderful opportunities, some of which have already been posted here.
- Also want to send a shoutout to those in the U.S. still recovering from the election (it's finally over!) and to those still in the throes of NaNo (hang in there!). Geez Louise, November is already off to a busy start.
- Regarding the proposed LJ changes—There has been a lot of discussion on this topic, but right now this bar is staying put, and the mods are taking a wait and see approach. Fear not. We shall weather the storm. :)
