ATTF: friending time.
Greetings, best bar on earth!!  Man I have missed this place. This time of year is always so crazy-busy, and there's always so much to get done that it seems to fly by in a kind of haze (I know I've pretty much been doing my own zombie walk just trying to make it through, and a huge shoutout to Bob for some much needed fic therapy; it's totally keeping my ass sane right now.)

But how goes it, y'all? [livejournal.com profile] shenshen77and I were talking the other day and she had mentioned that we hadn't had a good old-fashioned friending meme in a while, and I thought that sounded like a dandy idea. I also think we need a good impromptu dance party and a chance to chat and hang out with old friends and make new ones and just be our awesome selves.

So please come by and introduce yourself. Say a few words about how you found this place or this ship and what your interests are. Check out other people's comments. Feel free to stalk them (in a non-creepy and completely respectful way) and comment crash-- hell, this place was built on comment-crashing (you think I'm kidding but I'm not.) There is no form to fill out becuase I'm allergic to forms. Free jazz all the way, bb. ;)

ETA on the introductions: no need to go into detail on the personal stuff. share as much as you feel comfortable with. i always like being a little cautious on that front, this being the internets and all. <3

Pics, gifs, randomness, chitchat, melarkly, and general bedlam are always encouraged. I've missed you guys. <3

ALSO-- I'm posting a sign-up sheet in the comments for future ATTF posts. We have had some amazing guest hosts and I thank each and every one of you. Y'all are constantly raising the level of discourse (and squee) around here and it's awesome. So for anyone thinking about signing up-- don't be a stranger, m'kay?

I am! Bourne Legacy, the Unusuals, MI4... these have all rotated through my fic-writing brain this year. And while I can say that I did know who JR was prior to this year (I bit my nails ragged through The Hurt Locker in theaters) it was quite a surprise to get sucked in so hard after MI4.

That sounds awesome, I'll have to check out your AO3 :) And you certainly aren't alone, it happened to me as well ;D I went to see MI4 for Cruise and left with a love for Renner... And I'm not regretting a thing :D

I went to see MI4 because I have 3 teenage boys and that's their idea of an awesome time and I enjoyed it and all, but that was it until I stumbled across the kink meme for the movie and *lost my mind*. There was one page of comment prompts that I wanted to write every single one. I'd probably still be writing there, except I got sucked into the Unusuals and then tried my hand at that most excellent fanon genre, the Clint/Darcy pairing and THEN Avengers came out and... well. It's been A Year. for sure. :D

All the more reasons to check out your AO3 :) I love Clint/Darcy almost as much as Clintasha! And the Unusuals is just plain awesome, the scripts were so clever... I can't believe they cancelled that show *pouts*

I definitely enjoyed The Unusuals and craved more once I blew through the existing eps. Fic (as always) seemed to be the answer; I'm hoping for more this year at yuletide.

The Clint/Darcy I wrote kind of kept me sane this past spring. I'd go to work, come home and deal with kid-issues, and then channel all my aggravation into trying to write snarky banter.

YES! Fic definitely is the answer to all that's wronged by movie and TV execs :) I fell in love with my favorite show through fic, wouldn't have given it a second try if the fics based on it hadn't been so good. And I was reading Clint/Natasha fic before I had even seen the movie :)

I can relate, not the kid-issues, but the fic is keeping me sane at work... So yeah, snarky banter for the win!
