Hello everyone! I'm Emily, and I'm the similarly minded person that Bee mentioned back in her thread-- I BLAME IT ALL ON HER and nothing she can say will convince me otherwise (there's a reason we call her patient zero)! She dragged me into this a few weeks before the movie had even come out (when all this ship had were pictures and a few fics)... and before I knew it, I was a goner.

I think what drew me to Clint and Natasha (and shipping them) is how they are equals, in pretty much every way, and how their relationship on screen was beautifully subtle, but it was clear that the emotions ran deep and that there was a lot of history between them that we didn't know yet. I loved all the missing pieces and being able to come up with little explanations and head!canons to put them all together. Plus, all of those little blind spots and lines (Budapest, different choice) made for some really great fic, and really great fic = happy kl_shipper!

As far as my own contributions to fandom go, they're currently limited to icons and graphics (located at my journal), but *fingers crossed* I hope to start writing these two in the near future! But when my muse is not cooperating with me (because she's a fickle creature whom I have to bribe with cookies to come out and play), you can always count on me to bring on a nice healthy dose of squee and/or pretty!

Likes: BSG (as you may be able to tell from the name, I'm also a Kara/Lee shipper), Castle, Supernatural, Harry Potter, Pride & Prejudice, THIS BAR, THIS BAR, THIS BAR. Outside of fandom: music, travel, languages, food.

Dislikes: Everybody's entitled to their own opinion, but please don't harsh my squee. Why can't everybody get along?

I'm slowly working my way through BSG because I missed it the first time around. Other shows keep getting in the way but one of these days I'm going to get serious and at least get out the of the first season!

Right? BSG is pretty much what got me into shipping and LJ! It seems like there are so many of us here that can be traced back to BSG (and K/L in particular)-- I love it!

I didn't catch BSG the first time around either, but maybe it's a good thing I didn't-- I don't know if I could have dealt with the long hiatuses halfway through the season. But despite any criticism/annoyance I might have with it, when BSG is at its best (for example, season 1), it's really good, so I would definitely recommend it! Have you seen any of it already, or are just planning on starting?

The two that I ship (Kara and Lee, or Starbuck and Apollo) actually remind me of Clint and Natasha in some ways (it might even be part of the reason that C/N attracted me so much), so I would be interested in seeing what you think about them after you've finished watching BSG.

I've watched some of the first season. Yes, I would have gone crazy with the waiting! I'm horrible at it!

The whole series is available on Hulu Plus (where I watch my TV lately) so I have no excuse. I just need to make it a priority!

I already know I love Kara. Who wouldn't? She's awesome!
