My thought process while watching this:

I hope Bucky is awesome in the movie too. I am interested in him because he was great in the first film, but I keep thinking of Michael Jackson when I see him in this trailer.

This is SO MEAN!!! I won't be able to watch it until I get home -- my secretary sits right outside my office and while she finds the huge Avengers poster over my desk vaguely amusing (I do work on global security issues after all ...) she would likely call for help at (a) the sounds of the video clip coming out of my computer and (b) the squeals said video clip is likely to elicit.

SIGH.

But ... Arrow necklace!!! (I hope it's explained, although knowing Joss W, that ur-tease, it won't be ... until maybe The Cameo that I fully expect to see at the end? April is the cruellest month, especially when viewed from October.

PS: Any news from the Brit side on the post-credit Thor scene? I am ready for spoilers ...

The trailer looks awesome and I am super excited for more Bucky/Steve but I can't help but worry about Clint. I know he isn't in this movie but where the hell is he? I really hope they explain that at least a little bit.

I am positive they will say someting (of course I'm hoping for a cameo)...with all the name dropping they do in Agents of Shield, I am sure they will address it somehow.

It seems like he wears both costumes in this movie, very intersting!!

Woo-hoo! Really looking forward to this. Wish BW's hair weren't so obviously a wig, and I am sad we won't get new Hawkeye, but overall this looks awesome. LOVE that they filmed on location in D.C.--it shows in the quality.

Her hair looks better than I was expecting, honestly, but I miss the curls. :(

I couldn't wait to watch it by myself so I showed it to my whole class during the lunch break. We all just lost it. NGL, I'm probably going to plan our field trip so we can be in the city when this comes out.

And yes, I am LOVING all those (well, S&N) characters in action (although I do worry, with some of the commenters above, about the Marvel Studios field getting a little cluttered).

BUT.

The security/human rights/terrorism professional-cum-geek in me absolutely flailed over the legal/ethical issue of "pre-emptive elimination of threats" and Cap's reaction to it: "In my day, punishment came after the crime" and "that's not freedom, that's threat". (Take that, Dick Cheney. ahem)

I feel a fic coming on.

Excited to see so much Natasha in the trailer, but I'm skeptical about how this will translate to amount of screen time. There are A LOT of characters in this movie.

Still, it looks LOADS better than the original CA.

Did you follow the pics from filming over the summer? Because Scarlett was on set A LOT, so I'm thinking there actually will be a lot of screentime for Natasha.

I have not. I'm not a spoiler fiend, so I don't really know much at all about the movie other than that trailer. So that is reassuring to hear. I think you made a comment earlier about being afraid her injury would sideline her for the move and the first thing that popped into my head was that they would exit BW to make room for Sharon. Hopefully that won't be the case.

I mean, yeah, I'm not thrilled about the idea of her getting injured for that reason, but realistically I don't think it's likely that she'll be sidelined for the majority of the movie. I actually think it's more likely that they'll use an injury to either reveal that she has enhanced healing or as a segue for possible Red Room flashbacks. There's a crapton of pics of Scarlett filming various stunts, so that's what I'm banking on.
