It's JUST a rumor, but...  
...that won't stop us from shamelessly speculating about it anyway! Check out what [livejournal.com profile] workerbee73 and I discovered earlier this evening:

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo will have their work cut out for them too, as The Playlist is reporting that other big name characters may be appearing as well.
…Black Widow and Hawkeye may also be involved in Captain America 2 and there will be some romance between them. The pair of agents shared plenty of screen time with Captain America in The Avengers, and having them fight together again works within the context of a modern-set Captain America story… Nick Fury may get some of his origin story fleshed out as well, which would theoretically lend itself to flashbacks to World War II.

I didn't even think about Joss killing one of them until I read this post. Since he swears it was the Marvel PTB that decided to kill Coulson and not him, I haven't been thinking much about how he loves to kill characters.

As for being burned I shipped Echo/Paul and for a few minutes of the finale I thought he'd survive until the end and then he was unceremoniously shot in the head mere metres from safety. I got Joss'd*.

Hopefully since this is a big franchise movie there'll be certain rules about killing characters, but unfortunately Clint is the most expendable. We'll just have to start our prayer circles now tbh.

*Someone needs to do a gif where is says "Joss'd" instead of "Loki'd" if one doesn't already exist.
