Yes, I've seen it- the clip, ironically, after I had a conversation about this idea with a friend. I was flailing around my room, because that's how Tony and Rick's conversation would look like. Mine is better than yours, but then Pepper would walk in and ask for an autograph or something. No pressure. I really WANT to write it, I just need time. (Shhh, vacation is coming up soon).

I would love to write one with Clint and his music because he's probably the first character who fits into all of my favorite songs - that sounds kind of selfish, but.

I love Castle! I'm in the UK and have no tele where I am at uni, so I'm miles behind with season 4 though. My dad is recording them back home and whenever I'm back for a weekend we have a catch-up marathon :D

And Beckett would be all 'I am a Rick Castle fangirl, take your shiny metal suit away' and bond with Pepper and Espositio and Ryan would get on with Rhodes probably and, oh gosh, one of them would be a Cap fan, right? Only they're all trying to do their jobs. And the Avengers make a mess when they do stuff in New York and surely the police hate that? And, and...okay, you broke my brain :D

I love music - play the violin - but I'm also terrible with it, with knowing who anything's by or playlists and such, but I'm buying into the fandom headcanon of Clint being musical - because Renner and his singing and musicalness, damn you Renner! - so it'd be interesting to see fics with that or around that.

DETECTIVE RYAN AND STEVE FOR BEST BUDDIES. Also, have you seen any of season four, because I have a Nick Fury related comment that involves season 4 spoilers. And YES! Avengers make a mess, which gives Beckett a headache and Castle is like "Ooooh! Can I come with you? can I get Bruce Banner's autograph?" And Tony is NOT impressed because nobody is asking his autograph. Also? Beckett and Hawkeye shooting contest with all kinds of weapons.

It's just that I appreciate every welcome somewhere and feedback to things I write, especially if it's in new places. And everyone is so good around here. I mean, you guys are very good at writing and art and stuff it's insane.

It's all Renner's fault! Let's blame him, really. But it also fits Clint, I think; the guitar, because it can be played in solitude, and I see him as a loner who learned how to be around people, yet remain in some kind of his own private world. I haven't read comics (we don't get those where I live - I'm not a native speaker, by the way, so if I say something that sounds awkward - sorry!) but I know he grew up in circus and I kind of see him as a kid who learned quickly to take care of himself and not let many different people too close and he was always somewhere by himself where he could see what was going on. And he had a guitar, which made him feel good, but it also helped with other people leaving him to his hobby. he'd pick up new songs on the radio and play until he could get them right. In my headcanon he's into Johnny Cash (few people have written that I think, and it fits, IMO), Springsteen, The Eagles, Dire Straits, pretty much anyone who knows guitar stuff. Now I broke my own brain as well!

Regrets? I don't know of these things. And I don't want to :D

He is! Mostly. I still wind him up about the Great Game Of Thrones Incident - I was reading the first book, he was watching the tv show, we planned to swop. I passed him the book, he waved me towards the tele, and somehow season one of the show had been deleted by somebody. I wasn't that fussed about the show, so mostly amused. It's neat that we can share some interests. Alas, can't get him to watch Doctor Who!

The last Castle I watched was season 4 episode 9. No, please no spoilers! :P

Because I heartily recommed it for your Renner-Clint musical feels :D I'm not a huge music buff, but I can buy into the musical Clint headcanon - I too belive that he plays a guitar and sings thanks for fandom lol. Hmm, what era would this be? I mean, British history I think of the pirate radios of the sixties and seventies, kids hiding under bedcovers listening to it, having to sneak off and keep it secret. Clint in a circus, probably always something to be doing, someone trying to keep him busy and wanting to know why he isn't if they catch him doing 'nothing'...so he'd sneak away with a battered radio, or sneak into someone else's van, someone who liked him and didn't mind him using their radio, sneak on top of vans or trees where he'd be hard to find...but radios and guitars make noise.... *thinky thinky*

Yes, it's hot! I wish I was in some near - the - sea area, but nooo. It's 37 Celsius out there I think. I'm hugging my air condition.

Exactly - I want to keep my own perspective fresh with this. I already read some fics where Clint likes Springsteen and it was like, ah, I can't use that line of thinking, I have to come up with something else.

After some discussion and mental math I came up with this - Clint was born in 1975. Aside from huge historic events, that's the year when Springsteen's "Born to run" album was published (I wanted a specific year, so I could reference music related things). Orphaned at four and in circus when he was ten, Clint was this scrawny, pretty much always hungry kid who learned early on how to stay away from trouble. Even become "invisible", and know what was going on around him (even then he liked to climb high places and observe what was going on around him). He became an archer because circus star's assistant broke his arm and they couldn't do their "competition" act they always did. The star wanted Clint to replace the regular guy, but Clint proved to be fast learner and they had to change the act soon.

I imagine he would have lots of stuff to do if he traveled with circus, especially before he became a part of an act, and free time would be something very precious. Someone who likes him (someone who is a parent figure of sorts) teaches him how to play. Later, he perfects the skill (and he's a perfectionist when it comes to skills he considers important. Archery and music, two different things that transform him from noone into someone. Archery is for the show, it's a mask of sorts, something for the world; music is just for him), hiding on top of a van with a radio. Later, when he becomes more important pert of the show, circus people just let him have his music time in the early afternoons or late at night. (am I already writing this thing? Am I? I am. Damn it.)

STILL HIS WIFE BUT IT'S A SECRET. OMG. OMG!!!! But ex wife works as well, OMG this is awesomesauce.

Then they'd be all 'not my Avengers, not my author' but you're the Director of SHIELD/Chief! So. Much. Fun.

Oh. Because it would be Castle who found out, wouldn't it? Doing research for a novel or just plain interested in these Avengers who have come out of nowhere and he'd try telling the team, but they'd be all 'Castle's telling stories again' and 'Evidence, Castle!' And then he'd be right and something would happen where Gates and Fury would have to explain to their respective people what the deal was and Castle would be doing the equivalent of a 'I am right!' happy dance :D

Oh, YES. Castle would start researching about Avengers, which would eventually land them at Castle's doorstep. Aka the precinct. Because of Gates and Fury, who are not the only couple that's secretly married. Castle's "I was right all along!" would be priceless indeed.

I totally have to write this! Good news is, I am almost done with the other one - but ooops, that one is already 16K words big. And still not done.
