I have so many backlog works that would have fit well with polyamory or a different ship featuring one or the other. Ah, well. Moving forward. Ahem.

We've always been welcome to polyamory and different ships and team fic, and Natasha with ladies being awesome and Fraction & Aja's Clint doing his thing, and all the things, as long as it had a focus on Natasha and Clint - in the early days I used to do rec posts that were a mix of different stuff - but people seem to have gotten it into their heads that we're a Clint/Natasha space only, and whilst we do love us assassins in love we thought following Age of Ultron would be a good time to remind people that we really are okay with everything. And we're going to be exploring it more because of canon ;)

If you have old works, you could do a post with links to a bunch that think would be relevant to the comm's interests?

May do, though the idea is at the moment, daunting. I have a ridiculous amount of fic to wade through.

I admit to missing that largely because it doesn't happen often, so reminders are good. Thanks for the clarification.

So... I had mostly abandoned participating in fandom (with the exception of writing/reading fic and private email conversations) because there has just been too much dissent and angst and anger - not to say that there aren't specific things I might or might not be angry about myself, but the overall-leads-to-ship-wars type of anger is what I mean... Yes. Right. Anyway, anxiety/ptsd-ish tendencies abound in my brainspace, sometimes for stupid (but no less real) reasons.

Thank you for this. It's given me the courage to dip my toes back in, and maybe have a little bit of hope that there's still someplace I can come play.

I was chatting to a friend the other day about how things have been in overall fandom the other, and about how actually I kind of forget it until I head back to twitter, or someone reminds that tumblr exists, or the wider reaches of LJ, because this corner of fandom over here is a positive space. And we're gonna do our best to keep it that way. Feel free to hang out and play :)

I'm probably in the minority in that I haven't seen the movie yet. But, I've spoiled myself rotten and have been reading a ton of reviews/rants/meta/fic/etc.

I am absolutely still aboard the cruise ship Clint/Natasha.

But I'm also intrigued by how much I find I like the Clint/Laura and Auntie Nat dynamic.

And I'm so glad to read this post and see that the positivity, love, and general awesomeness of this bar still in place!

If you'd like a plot summary to go with your spoilers and reviews I left one in the comments of one of my meta posts over on my journal for scribble_myname who hasn't seen it either. Because if you can't see the film, fllm shall be brought to you!

I pretty much left the cinema in a mood of everything is Avengers and nothing hurts, heh. The people I watched it with looked at me in concern, going, 'Um, about that farm...' and I was all, 'La, happy place!' But then I tend to read lots of pairings, it's writing where I usually stick to particular ships - I end up fascinating with certain dynamics I think. So yep, still with the Clint/Natasha, but interested in all the variations and explorations of the new twist in the movie 'verse.

Hey I know that this may be 100 years later, but if I can add one little thing. Is that is the fic is Clint/Natasha/Laura or Natasha/Bruce or not actually natasha/clint centric as a couple, friends, etc. meaning that it has them paired with some else. that it has a sort of disclaimer that let you know that you're going to be reading a Clint/Laura or Natasha/Bruce fic, because persoanlly those are my notps and is kind of sad when you start reading a good fic and half way through it you realise that has Clint/Laura as romantic couple. Just my opinion, and all autors are entitled to not do this, but it would be nice to know before you start reading the fic.

We don't have listing pairings as a community rule, but people usually do let readers know if their fic isn't going to be Clint/Natasha just because that's the prevalent tone of the comm. A lot of fics also have links to AO3 with pairings listed in the tags. If you ever want to check the pairings in a fic - or anything else - before reading it, if you PM the author or leave them a comment asking for some more details everyone is this bar is lovely and will happily help you out :)
