Laura as an ex but on good terms is one of my favourites. I also love the idea of Clint having a teenage/adult daughter (Lila) by her and there being a fun but not overly involved dynamic there.

And Kate should be in ALL THE THINGS. :D

Also yes, Kate needs to be in all the things! The fact that she hasn't shown up in the MCU by now makes me sad.

I saw that! I too thought it was wonderful. Plus the idea of Clint with a sister is sort of wonderful. :D

And YES. Kate in all the things. I hope that - eventually - the Yong Avengers take over from the 'old' Avengers. It would be beyond awesome. :D

I totally headcanoned that Clint had a teenage/adult daughter for the longest time. I love that idea.

I like it sometimes. I have a very strange relationship with kid!fic. :P

I think having a teenager or adult child is very different than having a little kid who need constant supervision. One reason I like that idea is because I have a thing about Natasha and Clints differences- I mean the similarities are clear. But I love the contrast too, and MCU Clint to me seemed to have a lot of history- he is older and seemingly more stable- I like the idea of Natasha thinking they are similar get worlds apart at the same time. Probably one reason I love Barney so- he gives Clint a different background, he was raised with family (for whatever it's worth) and I can see him having his own and trying to make it better.

With AoU, I can buy it to a degree but I still feel like Clint ans Natasha are supposed to be together- I think that's what Joss was going for in the first movie (whether that was his choice or Marvels direction), and that is certainly alluded to in the cartoons, and I'm honestly feeling like it may still happen (but not guaranteed of course)- but the fact that the kids are so young makes things so much messier.

I like the concept sometimes, but mostly now everything has got mashed into comics so my Clint has become younger again. But I do love the idea of clint being hella irresponsible in the circus and having a kid young. I don't even know why. I just think it's because I like the idea of him leaving before he finds out, and then finding out when he's older and feeling he has to make up for it. I dunno. I just like that idea.

I dunno. I think the family will be quietly forgotten and Natasha will potentially end up with Bucky as per comics. I'd rather she not end up with anyone, but whatever. As long as she continues to kick ass, I can deal.

Yes I agree. I just want a kick ass Widow (and a kick ass Hawkeye) more than anything- the romance plots aren't as important.

So far Widow in CW looks like she will have a really good plot so I am thrilled about that.

It makes sense Clint wouldn't be very responsible when he was younger, I mean no parents, working at a traveling circus... Def not out of the realm of possibilities for an AU (then again, I supposed nothing is out of the realm of possibilities for an AU). Gonna write it? ;)

Lack of romance plots are actually really refreshing.

I honestly hated the idea of Kate when I kept running across her in fics (because I came at this from movies, not comics) but she's one of those things that authors write so well they've completely turned me around on her and now I'm also on Team!Kate and I can't tell if that's good or bad. *g*

IT IS A GOOD THING. KATE IS A GIFT TO MANKIND. And Clint would totally agree with me there. :P

I was the same way. Like I thought the fact that she was called Hawkeye too was so dumb - but now I like her a lot, she is like a sister to him, and think the 2 Hawkeye thing kinda fits bc they are both such dorks lol
