Hannibal gave Will more and more tasks, and he completed them. But at each crime scene, Will walked through the steps of the murderer, and ended with 'this is my design.' By the last crime scene, Hannibal realized that when he said that, Will meant 'I love you.'

Any other fandoms you're currently into: I just got really into Leverage. I'm currently writing something for Hannibal, but I wouldn't say I'm in the fandom. Same for SW:TFA. Although I don't write American Idol RPF anymore I'm still a fan, uh, yeah. Does Mark Does Stuff count as a fandom? It should.

The occasional Friday things I've seen were neat and I adored reading all the Secret Santas.

A little of each? I've read some great Clint/Laura/Natasha OT3s, denial is always fun *g*, and I like playing in all the sanboxes at the playground.

When an author can turn me on to a concept or pairing I'd never thought I'd like (Soulmates, Maria/Steve, Darcy Lewis in general...) Also, I am unashamedly a fan of smut (especially when there's a hint of romance or something else behind it)

I hadn't written in a VERY long time when Clint/Natasha punched me in the gut upon rewatching Avengers with my son this past year. But I really liked my first stab at a fic in this fandom (http://archiveofourown.org/works/4249065). Mainly, I think, because it got me back to writing.

DId I mention I read a lot of fic? That while Avengers took over my brain last spring, I flit around in other fandoms quite often? White Collar, Leverage, anything from the Buffyverse, the Librarians, and my true love will forever and always be The West Wing.

What should a new friend know about you/your LJ and/or what are you looking for in an LJ/online friend?< /br>I talk about my kid a lot. I bitch about work. I ramble. I'm not new to fandom but I haven't been involved in it for a very long time for various reasons. I tend to marvel at how everything's new, but still really the same. 90% of the friends I made in West Wing fandom are still true friends today so if you dare friend me, I'll stick around quite a while. My writing is... uneven? I can write something amazing & emotional and then turn out the worst, schlockiest fic ever. I write very badly executed smut, and I refuse to apologize for that.

I'm really NOT insane, although sometimes I may sound that way?

I haven't written actual smut in (I just checked AO3) five years, so yeah. #teambadlyexecutedmut

also I just finished watching Leverage in August, am now in the middle of a rewatch and may or may not be obsessed (looks at fic of doom and cries)

Ha, I like your fic - always fun to read something where all of the ladies in Clint's life get together to be awesome. And thanks for the Bucky/Buffy fic rec. Interesting, if heartache, crossover.

I can't tell you whether or not it's wrong but heartbroken Tony is what I'm looking forward to in Civil War, as well. In fact, I'm looking forward to heartbroken everyone in Civil War.

Maria/Steve, right?!?! Came from nowhere and smacked me upside the head with pig-head military feels, which, not a category I knew I could have. Also, thank you for that Bucky/Buffy rec, tore my heart jus' a little bit :'(

I don't really know. I'm super stoked for Deadpool, and really excited to see Black Panther in Civil War but currently I'm more excited for Daredevil S2, Jessica Jones S2 and Luke Cage on Netflix.

I always enjoy promptathons, though I am terrible at actually finishing things for them. And writing challenges are always fun. :)

Denial and AUs are the way to go! I lived in OT3 land for a while but then realised that... I don't care so much. Turns out very few can make it into a dynamic I actually find interesting. I think it's because I don't like kid!fic.

Unusual things. AUs I hadn't thought of. Smut. UST. Banter. Pepper Potts.

I think it's still the shorter story that I wrote for sweetwatersong in the AU exchange. Everything about it went just so right.

Clint in a familiar SHIELD unform, Natasha in an unfamiliar uniform, the pair of them standing on the edge of a building, backs to each other but at an angle, like they're not quite committed to it, both injured. We're looking at them from slightly above and behind them the city of Budapest is spread out, the sun just coming up on the horizon and everything in shadows. The tag line: you and I remember Budapest very differently

I'm not really in any fandoms other than Avengers - my love for other things tends to come out as Marvel AUs lol. But I like: Walking Dead, Orphan Black, The Blacklist, Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD (but the UK is behind, so shhh on spoilers), always Firefly... I want to finish Daredevil, try Jessica Jones and Killjoys.

Currently reading Intercept: the secret history of computers and spies, last watched at the cinema was Revenant, last watched on the box was a rewatch of Snow Cake, and last song would have been something on my 'current bounce' playlist for the walking part of my trip to work, so possibly Shut Up And Dance, Gone, Gone, or Fight Song.

This is a WIP so no link but Clint and Natasha as Project Freelancer agents (from the webseries RedvsBlue) because as amazing fighters while being outsiders at the same time they really fit in that world. Plus Natasha gets to kick Clint's butt in training practice ;)

Spotting movement Clint used his circus training to jump along the top of the pylons to where he had seen Natasha; his HUD automatically targeting the best spot to maximize his throw. Locking on, he aimed and threw the knife. It was a perfect throw and the knife buried itself between her shoulder plates, slicing through her black under-suit like it was cheap material.

“Asshole.” Natasha spat out while gripping her injured shoulder. Grimacing as she pulled the knife out Natasha clenched her jaw, determined not to let the others know how much pain she was in, and threw it back at him.

He dodged it easily and Natasha pulled out the pistol she’d grabbed, aiming as Clint scrambled down and pulled the trigger but missed. Not letting him go easily, Natasha slowly followed while keeping the pistol up; she wasn’t going to let him catch her off guard again. Spotting the purple and black armor she pulled the trigger but the shots went wide and the squibs exploded on the pylon, the purple gel crystalizing as soon as it made contact.

Red Eye by enigma731 this was written during the early stage of Clint and Natasha's partnership, brings in Clint's circus past and it's a really good read.

I'm very into the incredibly obscure fandom of The Sandbaggers, which was a British television show that ran from 1978-80 centering around the British Secret Intelligence Service. It focuses on the complex antihero Neil Burnside, who's the director of operations for SIS and the SIS special section called "the Sandbaggers". It's got some truly superb storytelling/dialog/characterizations and well worth a watch (only three seasons, twenty episodes in all). Book: "The Little Drummer Girl" by John le Carre (I've been super obsessed with everything relating to British espionage lately and have been working my way through all of le Carre's novels). Film: Brooklyn (a really sweet romance that feels like it actually contains real people that have lived real lives and I definitely recommend it). Song: "Girl" by the Beatles

My LJ is a mix of RL stuff and fandom and most posts are f-locked. I’m not as active on LJ anymore as I used to be, but I’m trying to post and comment whenever I can and feel that I’ve got something relevant to say. Of course, this is a lot easier if you have something in common, so some shared interests would be nice if you want to friend me. I would also appreciate it, if you could leave any drama by the door so to speak.

I love that most of the movie poster ideas involve a Black Widow movie :) and I like that you included Cap as a possible sidekick. I'd always thought about a movie centering on younger Natasha with her evolution from the Red Room to Shield agent but I like the thought of a movie taking place later in the MCU timeline.

MCU, comics, or all the things? When it comes to the original works, I'm "All the Things!" But when it comes to fandom and fanfic, I'm essentially strictly MCU. Comicverse is too complicated for fandom in my opinion.

Which upcoming Marvel films are you looking forward to and what are you hoping to see in them? Captain America: Civil War. I'm hoping to see Hawkeye. Lots and lots of Hawkeye.

Tell us a thing we've done that really enjoy here (promptathon, secret santa, ATTF etc) and/or suggest something you'd like us to do: I'm pretty new here, but I like the promptathon. Can't what for that to start this year. And secret santa. I'd love to get into that this December.

After Age of Ultron are you camping out at the farm, by that river in Egypt, in a world of AUs anyway, or another camp all together? I'm a little bit over everything. I'm perfectly happy at the farm. I love Daddy!Hawk! and Laura, Cooper, Lila, and Nathan. But I'm also just as happy to pretend that they don't exist.

What things do you love to see in fics/creative works, what’re a few of your favourite things? I love "slice of life" fics, seeing the things they get into during down time. Probably because I love delving into the little quirks and hobbies the movies don't have time to delve into.

In my notes, its a three part Daredevil! Origin epic that starts with Jack/Maggie and then Jack & Matt's story in part I, becomes Matt's story in part II, and ends as Matt & Foggy's story in part III. I've also been playing around and outline a Hawkeye! Origin story, melding together some comic book origin and Laura.

Aww, but I kinda love that in comics, you can pick and choose so many different elements and NONE OF THEM IS WRONG. Don't love Laura? Want Circus backstory? Want more Winter Soldier? YOU CAN HAVE IT! I loved this about Xmen too.

Lately I have been feeling like Clintasha may happen in canon; I don't know why. But also aware it very well may not happen in canon, so I'm either by the river, or camping at the farm with the belief that L dies and then Clintasha happens. Kids are still there, and Natasha becomes Auntie Mom or Mama Nat or something. But kids are mostly with Uncle Barney and Auntie Simone so Black Widow and Hawkeye can still do their Avenging.

What things do you love to see in fics/creative works, what’re a few of your favourite things?


I love fics that invoke emotion- the more feels the better. And also Barney. ;)

In the past few weeks I have descended heavily into Star Wars. I literally just started watching them in mid-December b/c everyone kept talking about the new movie so I watched the original trilogy, then the new movie...then the new movie again. Just finished watching the prequels, now going to watch the original trilogy again, and then see the new film once more in the theater.

Last book I read...hm...well, I mostly just read fanfic, but the last actual book? Maybe Mockingjay? Last film I watched is Revenge of the Sith. Last song was probably Photograph by Ed Sheeran. Obsessed with that song.

I love discussing nerdy things like the MCU and Star Trek and Star Wars, and Renner's veiny arms, etc. Also motherhood. Oh, and if there is something that is really big and really important (like if I LOOOOOVVVEEE a fic) I usually get overwhelmed and want to show my gratitude more than "omg I love it!" and then end up not saying anything ever b/c the time has passed, which totally sucks on my part, but its a weird anxiety thing that I need to work on.

All the things! I'm obsessed with the MCU, but have a fair knowledge of and vested interest in comics (my husband and I own a comic book store :) ).

Which upcoming Marvel films are you looking forward to and what are you hoping to see in them?
I know it's not a Marvel/Disney film, I'm really looking forward to Deadpool. And if I'm being honest, my mind wanders to Cap3 more often than is probably healthy. I want all the Hawkeye and Black Widow!

Secret Santa is exceptionally fun and so well run. I love the promptathon, too. My fav ATTF topic is the three-sentence fic challenge. As a wordy writer, I love the limitation of three sentences.

I've taken up permanent residence in Cairo and vacation in the land of AU from time to time. It takes a very special author to get me to visit the farm.

Clint Barton is my most favorite thing. I adore team fic, especially including Pepper, and as much snarky banter as can possibly be included. I can never get enough of reading about the round-about way our assassins realize/admit their feelings for one another. 95% of my stories fall into that category. 2015 was a really rough year for me in RL -- way too much adulting left me devoid of writing energy and ideas. I have plans to make "me" time and that includes spending some of it with The Avengers.

My idea for a comic book cover would be for one of those one-off issues that fall outside of the regular run and under an "alternate universe" or "dream sequence" category: Hawkeye and Black Widow are decked out in their tactical gear rushing into an Avengers battle. Iron Man's speech bubble says "I could think of a thousand different places I'd rather be." Each assassin replies, "Me, too" while their thought bubbles, ironically, detail the same scene: each dressed in casual clothes, holding hands, with Budapest in the background. Title of the issue: What Should Have Happened in Budapest

Any other fandoms you're currently into:
Under the category of what's old is new again… Star Wars, of course. I was an original X-Phile and came of internet age on news groups filled with conspiracy and MSR discussions. I am beside myself with excitement for the revival.

Um all of them. Deadpool especially, and Black Panther, and Captain Marvel I gotta say. And Ant-Man 2. But mainly all of them. I am looking forward to Civil War, I just hope it's not going to try too hard to make us care about Steve and Tony's friendship, because tbh, I don't see it that much. In the comics? I ship it so hard. In the movies, it takes a really good writer to convince me that they can be work colleagues without professionally suppressed dislike, much less besties whose crumbling relationship I want to watch a movie about.

I think I joined after the promptathon? Don't know what that is, though it sounds fun. I liked the Secret Santa a lot.

There really aren't many ships I can't get behind if the writer does a good job, so new ships in canon just expands the horizons for me in fandom. Of course I ship Clintasha, but I like the farm fam too, and of course there's always OT3. And I do love Bruce/Natasha, even if I've read fics that did it better than Ultron.

What things do you love to see in fics/creative works, what’re a few of your favourite things?

Dewdrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Multi-faceted characters, unusual views of characters, creative AUs. Rare pairs, because the authors have to dig deep into personality and plot to really sell it. Polyamory and other non-standard love.

What's your favourite thing (or one of) that you wrote/created in 2015 (link please!) and why?

Okay so there's three, which I hope doesn't seem like plugging, but, I don't really have one solid favorite for anything.
Once Bitten is a Tony/Bucky soumates AU for rarepairfest, which I like because it actually feels like a fic written for fandom, which I'm not that good at; usually I just write to let the story express itself, but this feels like one other people can actually connect to as well.
Absorb, Adapt, Attack! is a Steve&Tony episode tag for Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes that I wrote for Yuletide, and I like it because it's exactly what it's supposed to be: short and sweet, with a little H and enough C to bring it back to fluff.
And Whether Mice or Men Have Second Tries is my Secret Santa from here (link to AO3 because there was grammar that needed to be fixed) and I like it because it's the sort of fic you can wrap yourself in and cuddle.

Jane slides a bit and Maria puts her arm around her. “He’s going to beat them up for you,” she replies, amused. “I can handle myself around a few drunk Level 5s.”
Jane’s eyes roll, and Maria tightens her grip in case she passes out, but Jane pats her knee consolingly. “He likes you.”
Maria snorts. “You’re drunk.”
“You’re not drunk enough,” Jane says with gravitas.

CAMPING AT THE FARM ALL THE WAY. But, just because I love Laura and Clint, it doesn't mean I love Natasha/Clint any less (multi-shipper, y'all.) I still ship our assassins as much as anything, canon be damned. So I guess I'm kind of all over the map.

What things do you love to see in fics/creative works, what’re a few of your favourite things?
AUs have quickly become my favorite things, as well as long, introspective fics that show characters as real people and not the cookie cutter people we get from the movies. Personally, I love angst of any kind, no matter how dark, and AUs, found family tropes, hurt/comfort (so much hurt/comfort).

What's your favourite thing (or one of) that you wrote/created in 2015 (link please!) and why?
I fell into the OT3 hole with a lengthy fic called i love only that which they defend (http://archiveofourown.org/works/4767218) and once I realized I couldn't get enough of the world, I embarked on a still-ongoing WIP called til the clocks run down (http://archiveofourown.org/works/4844699/chapters/11098331). It was supposed to be a mess of deleted scenes but it's quickly turned into its own huge story, complete with its own narrative. And I love the world I've created for Laura, Clint and Nat.

Clint feels a warmth spread up his neck, settling in his cheeks, one that he knows has nothing to do with their post-sex cuddling. “Aw, Nat, you’re actually learning how to be sentimental.” He turns his head back into her hair and Natasha smacks his chest with the back of her palm.
