Which upcoming Marvel films are you looking forward to and what are you hoping to see in them?


The 3 I'm most looking forward to are CW (want to see Clint and Natasha mostly, also want all the Steve & Tony feels, and my new thing is headcanoning a fun friendship between Clint and Scott, so I'm hoping there is that as well- esp since Natasha is literally the only other Avenger that he is close to), Ant-Man & the Wasp (Love those 2 characters, ship them very much, and I want to see them find Janet), and Thor 3 (Loki and Sif and Asgard and just everything Thor)

After Age of Ultron are you camping out at the farm, by that river in Egypt, in a world of AUs anyway, or another camp all together?


Lately I have been feeling like Clintasha may happen in canon; I don't know why. But also aware it very well may not happen in canon, so I'm either by the river, or camping at the farm with the belief that L dies and then Clintasha happens. Kids are still there, and Natasha becomes Auntie Mom or Mama Nat or something. But kids are mostly with Uncle Barney and Auntie Simone so Black Widow and Hawkeye can still do their Avenging.

What things do you love to see in fics/creative works, what’re a few of your favourite things?


I love fics that invoke emotion- the more feels the better. And also Barney. ;)

What's your favourite thing (or one of) that you wrote/created in 2015 (link please!) and why?


I really like the story that I started and never finished and I probably never will- but I like thinking about it. Basically my headcanon from up above.

I have my stuff on my home computer and I'm at work, so :/ But there were 3 stories I was working on, a figure skating AU, a 5 times fic where Natasha helped others love lives and the +1 she helps herself, and the above fic of L passing (Natasha POV)

In the past few weeks I have descended heavily into Star Wars. I literally just started watching them in mid-December b/c everyone kept talking about the new movie so I watched the original trilogy, then the new movie...then the new movie again. Just finished watching the prequels, now going to watch the original trilogy again, and then see the new film once more in the theater.

The last book you read/film you watched/song you listened to:


Last book I read...hm...well, I mostly just read fanfic, but the last actual book? Maybe Mockingjay? Last film I watched is Revenge of the Sith. Last song was probably Photograph by Ed Sheeran. Obsessed with that song.

What should a new friend know about you/your LJ and/or what are you looking for in an LJ/online friend?< /br>

I love discussing nerdy things like the MCU and Star Trek and Star Wars, and Renner's veiny arms, etc. Also motherhood. Oh, and if there is something that is really big and really important (like if I LOOOOOVVVEEE a fic) I usually get overwhelmed and want to show my gratitude more than "omg I love it!" and then end up not saying anything ever b/c the time has passed, which totally sucks on my part, but its a weird anxiety thing that I need to work on.

Anything extra to add?

I love this forum SO FRICKEN MUCH, and I love all the awesome authors out there that created and continue to create these amazing stories for all of us to read- forever indebted.

Awww that's so nice!! So maybe i should just write it. Like I wanted to make it "work" but I have problems writing it to make it sound good- but maybe I'll just get it down so the ideas are there and then send it through like 7 betas and by the end it might be ok for consumption? Lol.

Hmm, Scott and Clint. I'm hearing sarcasm and banter. I like it!

Looking forward to reading your tics - ice skating AU because AUs are love, and Natasha interfering in love lives just sounds like, I don't know, would she be scary competant at it or will this be a comedy of errors? I want to find out :)

On the commenting thing, I get wordy and I love leaving people long comments, but I don't always have the time. So I got in the bad habit of not saying anything and making a note to come back to it, but then still not have time or forget and feel awful about it. So I try instead to just SAY simply that I loved it. Or that I want to comment more, but i'm full of feelings and can't. People seem to be okay with that :) I know I for one don't care if a comment is just a love heart, still makes me smiley for the rest of day.

I'm a...casual fan, if that's a thing, of Star Wars. In that I'm not in love with it, but I enjoy space, banter, fun films. So watching people getting back into it or getting into it for the first time is sweet and amusing without the sudden MUST FANDOM, MUST WRITE urge. It's odd and kinda nice.

Yup lots of funny banter, and they can bond over the whole dad thing.

The Natasha interferes is def a fun one- I have that one outlined too, just need to fill it in. It's funny when I think of fics, I see it visually, like a movie. But dont know how to translate that vision into words, Kwim?

That's a good method- half the time I have a kid who needs my attention, but saying "love this" is better than not saying anything at all.

So I was totally like you with regard to Star Wars (and again- literally watched it for the first time a few weeks ago) until the very last scene of the Force Awakens. And then suddenly I wanted to know all the things about how everyone got there, about who Rey is (although I'm 99.99% sure who one of her parents is at least ;)) and then went back and watched the prequel trilogy and now have such love for the Annakin & Obi Wan relationship and curious how they are doing too... Like do they and Yoga just hang out all the time? Are they watching events unfold and shaking their heads like "the living always have too much drama- yes, I understand the irony :P"?

But mostly it's the fact that after the AoU dissapointment it's so nice to be in a new fandom and have my focus spread out a bit more than just the one thing. I feel like it has let me step back a bit and think "you know what? The writers will do whatever they want to do and we can't influence or know their end game and just have to take the good and ignore the bad". Which is something I knew in my head before but not having all my eggs in one basket is helping my feelings know it too. ;)

...and now you have me thinking...about how Kate and Cassie are Young Avengers...and about Clint's kids and Cassie... Young Avengers MCU style?!

I don't tend to visualise fics, but I head dialogue sometimes, so yep, I get it, it never quite happens the same as in your head, does it?

I like the way you phrased that... "I head dialogue" :)

I hear the conversations in my head in the shower, the car, etc, and then when I type them out I realize, hey yeah, I have to flesh this out because dialogue alone does not a story make! :)

Well I also talk to myself. And to inanimate objects. And walls. So there's out of head dialogue as well, but in-head tends to be a bit more...practical for being in public ;)

I like joining the dots from one conversation or snipped of dialogue, or building around a few dialogue lines, or sitting there and working out where the characters actually are, what they're doing, how they move. It's a fun puzzle.
