ALL THE THINGS FRIDAY.
Time for a good, old-fashioned hoedown of spammage and silliness and REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF.

So much various and sundry it almost won't fit under a cut....WARNINGS FOR HIGHLY PROBLEMATIC EVERYTHING. (this is why I should not be allowed to eat carbs. you give me a bagel in the morning and i get delusions of grandeur. going back to green things and protein shakes, stat.)

And I love each and every one of you. Seriously the awesomest ever.

THE FIC RECS--
Behold:

Master List of all Promptathon fanworks.  Master List, Part 2 now with more delicious everything!

We have dozens upon dozens of incredible fics and fanworks and I keep adding more every day. I'm still working on getting caught up myself. We've got such amazing authors in this fandom, y'all. Grab a tasty beverage this weekend, curl up on the couch and spend some time enjoying all this good writing. And if you find something you like, leave a little love for the author (I hear they like that sort of thing). Also remember that the Promptathon is staying open through August 31st, so keep on bringing the awesomeness to the table!!!

THE RANDOM--
Still working through my Bourne Legacy feels (and there are many). I'm guessing I'm not the only one. Are our non-US peeps starting to see the film as well? Reactions?

[livejournal.com profile] bob5fic, I just want you to know that I watched Dahmer last night FOR YOU. And the hair was atrocious but I powered through. And wow yes, disturbing as hell but incredibly acted. I was having flashes of Gary Oldman in full-on chameleon mode. Seriously impressed.
(BUT THE HAIR WAS AWFUL.)
((I'M NOT GETTING OVER THAT ANY TIME SOON.))

THE PRETTY--
You know I can't resist the pretty pretty pictures. It's inspiration, dammit!!!

Re: Bourne-- yeah, definitely watch the last one. Other ones aren't required so much, but I think it's helpful to have Ultimatum under your belt going in.

Yay writing!! Dude, there is something about this ship and this bar that makes you just want to write all the things. I don't know what kind of crack we've got in the water but it is magic and wonderful and I don't ever want it to stop. Because reasons. And awesome. **twirls you**

Yeeeep, I've heard that. I was watching the first one as background for fic, and then I got...bitten and turned it off to CONCENTRATE. But fortunately we have the third in the house, so it's just a matter of dragging myself away from writing ALL THE THINGS. Or as a reward - I keep staying up until 1am or 2am trying to finish things.

I just. MAGIC AND CRACK. So. Awesome. But my braaaaaaaaaaain, I keep going from fluff to serious to...IDEK what the following is, but it's a bit of mental whiplash at times. I just (and I think everyone else is the same) SO MANY IDEAS. ALL OF THEM. DIFFERENT. ODD! CRACKY! (self, don't start the Natasha-is-a-cyborg fic until it's matured in your head, no, not even if there is a title)

But totally worth it, and I just love all the BOUNCING and discussion that takes place. It's so very, very amazing. *g*

SNIPPET OF CURRENT WIP:

“We need to take out NATO as soon as we can,” you say, taking a map and spreading it over a table. “Take out the core countries, and the rest of the world will be too busy not knowing what to do. Or,” you shrug, “sorting out their own problems, or taking advantage, depending.”

“If we hack into the US missile grid,” Barton muses, and you're already nodding at him.

“I don't have enough time to do that before the Chitauri arrive,” you say, and then look at Loki. “Sir? I do know who to find, though. Your spear could be very useful.”

Loki is studying you, and then He smiles briefly. “Missile grid?”

“We use their own weapons against them,” you say. “Humans are very good at killing each other, particularly from a distance. It'd be a shame not use the capability after they've so helpfully provided it, don't You think?”

Loki grins, the expression bright and blinding as the new snow. “I like the way your mind works, Agent Romanoff.”
