That she sticks by him and SHIELD even though she sends in negative reports and doesn't always agree and just. YES. AGENT MARIA 'YOU MORONS' HILL. (Her and Natasha together make everyone else nervous beyond belief, true fact.)

Hawkeye gives good woobie face when he admits he's "not at his best with a gun". He's like...Loki please just let me show you how awesome I am with my bow. I CAN DO IT BOSS. I felt bad for my heartwashed bb. I really liked the little extra insight it gave us for Clint. It's not enough though, I need more!


Also the gag reel.....Renner dancing and being a dork in general is so precious that I can't even handle it.

Eeenteresting. Just watched it from the link above. It's a little too talky and a little too connect-the-dots, so I can see why they cut it. But it's also interesting to see how much Loki relied on him to figure out what to do. I mean, I'd always suspected that Barton was running the show tactically speaking; this pretty much confirms it.

I agree, its a little too much "let me show you the plot before we do it". I just need more of his background to come through. Basically I just need that Hawkeye/Black Widow origin movie. I'm bitter its not already in the works. *side eyes Marvel*

Ohhhhh that deleted Loki and Clint scene...

I loved Clint talking about Fury and his "I'm not at my best with a gun" so much. To me, it really feels like he's fighting the mind control here because he's not lying, but he's definitely being evasive and I find it really interesting that he can do that. That there's still enough of him in there to be sneaky about things that Loki isn't pressing him on.

Also - "I'm not at my best with a gun" is awesome because it's him downplaying his abilities as a way to steer away from this dangerous topic but, more importantly, it's him really trying to get to use his bow. Maybe because he feels the most like himself when he's holding his bow with an arrow nocked and the string stretched tight and the whole world narrowing down to a single target. And the part of him that's buried down deep inside and screaming at what is happening hopes that when he holds his bow again it'll make him strong enough to fight this. To come back and be himself again.

Does that sound stupid? It really might sound stupid. I just think that for Clint his bow is his talisman and the way he defines himself just as much now as it was when he was a scared kid with literally nothing else in the world. And it makes me really really sad for him that it didn't work - that even with his bow he wasn't strong enough to save himself from this. Angst angst angst.

Argh, I have a lot of feelings about this short clip! I can definitely see why they cut it, but it makes for interesting headcanon.

OH GOSH, YES TO ALL OF THIS. SO MUCH YES.
